Overview
The Raymarine SeaTalk NG Spur Cable is a pre-made network cable used to connect individual Raymarine instruments, sensors, displays, and compatible devices to a SeaTalk NG backbone. It is the device-side cable in the network layout, running from the equipment to a white spur port on a SeaTalk NG T-connector, 5-way connector, or similar backbone connection point.
These cables are available in 400 mm, 1 m, 3 m, 5 m, and 6 m lengths, so the installation can stay tidy whether the device is mounted close to the backbone behind a helm panel or farther away at a mast base, cockpit display location, antenna position, or electronics pod. The white SeaTalk NG connectors help separate spur connections from the blue backbone side of the system during installation.
Key features
- Connects a SeaTalk NG device to the network backbone through a white spur connection.
- Available in five lengths: 400 mm, 1 m, 3 m, 5 m, and 6 m.
- White spur connectors match Raymarine SeaTalk NG spur ports on T-connectors and 5-way connectors.
- Useful for helm displays, sensors, instruments, GPS receivers, and other Raymarine SeaTalk NG equipment.
- Pre-made cable format reduces the need for field wiring in tight console and cabin installations.
Variants
This product range is offered in multiple cable lengths so the spur run can be matched to the distance between the device and the nearest SeaTalk NG backbone connection.
The length changes by variant. The function remains the same across the range: each cable is used as a SeaTalk NG spur cable for connecting an individual device to the backbone.
- A06038: Size 400MM. This short cable is useful when the device is mounted very close to a T-connector or 5-way connector, helping reduce excess cable behind a panel.
- A06039: Size 1M. This length suits many helm and instrument pod layouts where the device is near the backbone but still needs a little routing room.
- A06040: Size 3M. This cable gives more reach for console runs, cockpit displays, or sensor positions that are not directly beside the backbone connection.
- A06041: Size 5M. This longer spur works well when the device is separated from the main network route and the cable needs to pass through lockers, panels, or conduit.
- A06072: Size 6M. This length provides the most reach in the range and is commonly used where a SeaTalk NG device needs to connect from a more distant mounting point.
Installation and setup
In a SeaTalk NG installation, the backbone carries network data and power, while spur cables branch off to individual devices. This cable should be routed from the device to a white spur port rather than a blue backbone port. Keeping that layout clear helps avoid common network wiring mistakes during refits or electronics upgrades.
When routing the cable, allow enough slack for service access behind the display, instrument, or sensor, but avoid leaving large coils in damp or crowded areas. Use the shortest length that reaches cleanly without strain, tight bends, or pressure on the connector.
Compatibility and fit
This cable is for Raymarine SeaTalk NG networks and equipment with SeaTalk NG spur connections. It is not a general-purpose NMEA 2000 Micro-C cable, so boats mixing SeaTalk NG and standard NMEA 2000 hardware may require the correct Raymarine adapter cable elsewhere in the network.
It is a good match for boat owners and installers adding or relocating Raymarine network devices, replacing a damaged spur lead, or cleaning up an existing electronics installation where the cable length needs to better match the actual run.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
