The Raymarine SeaTalk NG Backbone Cable is the main trunk cable used to build or extend a Raymarine SeaTalkNG network on board. It runs through the vessel and carries both data and power between connected sensors, instruments, displays and network accessories.
This range covers common backbone run lengths from short 400 mm links through to a 20 m cable, so it can be used for compact helm installations, longer cable runs through a cabin or console, or extended layouts on larger boats. The cable connects to the blue backbone terminals on SeaTalkNG T-connectors, 5-way connectors and compatible Raymarine network devices.

Across the range, the connection role remains the same: each cable is used as part of the SeaTalkNG backbone and plugs into the blue backbone side of compatible SeaTalkNG network fittings.
Installation and setup
Plan the backbone route before installation so it runs past the main locations where networked equipment may be installed. Displays, sensors and instruments normally connect to the backbone through spur cables and T-pieces, while the backbone itself forms the main path for network communication and power distribution.
For longer or more complex layouts, cable length should be selected to avoid unnecessary loops while still leaving enough service slack for access behind panels and at connection points. SeaTalkNG backbone cables can also be joined with the correct backbone extender when a custom run length is needed.
Compatibility and fit
This cable is for Raymarine SeaTalkNG network installations and is not a general-purpose power cable. It is a good match for boat owners, installers and electronics technicians adding Raymarine instruments, sensors, autopilot components or multifunction displays to an existing SeaTalkNG backbone.
Before ordering, confirm the required cable length, the location of the blue backbone ports, and the overall network layout, including terminators, power feed and spur connections. Matching the cable to the actual run on the boat helps keep the installation tidy and easier to service later.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
