Overview

The TACO Marine M20-3613E is an electric low profile adjustable seat slide for wide helm seats and bench seating on boats. It measures 13-1/8" x 36" with a 2-1/4" height, supports seats from 41" to 54" wide, and gives up to 5" of powered travel so the seating position can be adjusted forward or aft from the helm.

This slide runs on 12V DC power with a 9 amp maximum current draw. The electric actuator can stop anywhere between the fully retracted and fully extended positions, and it self-locks at rated loads so the seat stays in place once set.

The unit is built around a precision-machined 6000-series aluminum chassis with an acid-etched clear anodized finish. Its IP66 rating helps protect the electric slide in wet marine seating areas, and the low profile layout works with both pedestal and box mounting applications using a universal mounting bolt pattern.

Key features
  • Fits wide marine seats and benches from 41" to 54" wide.
  • 5" stroke length gives practical fore and aft adjustment at the helm.
  • 12V DC electric actuator with 9 amp maximum current draw.
  • IP66-rated construction for water resistance in exposed cockpit and helm areas.
  • Meets H31 testing standards for seat applications.
  • Precision-machined 6000-series aluminum chassis with an acid-etched clear anodized finish.
  • Rail and linear glide system is self-lubricating, dirt resistant, corrosion free, light in weight, and shock resistant.
  • Low profile 2-1/4" height helps keep the seating position close to the original mounting height.
  • Universal mounting bolt pattern fits both pedestal and box seat installations.
  • Quiet operation at 58 dB or less.
  • Rated for 3500N maximum load with 1500N push and pull force.
  • Track and glide tolerances reduce racking in any direction during seat movement.
Installation and fit

This seat slide is a strong match for helm benches, wide leaning-style seats, and other marine seating layouts where the operator needs powered adjustment without raising the seat much above the mounting surface. The 36" slide length and 13-1/8" width should be checked against the seat base, pedestal top, or box structure before installation.

The universal mounting pattern helps when replacing or upgrading seat hardware, but the mounting surface still needs to be flat, well supported, and able to handle the load transferred through the seat. For boats that run in chop or offshore conditions, careful fastening and alignment matter because the slide depends on straight travel through the track and glide system.

Electrical and operation

The slide is built for 12V DC boat systems and should be wired with attention to circuit protection, wire routing, and movement clearance. The actuator speed is 13.5 mm per second at 1500N, giving controlled adjustment rather than sudden seat movement.

Because the actuator can stop at any point in its travel, the driver can fine tune reach to the wheel, throttle, and electronics display instead of being limited to fixed detent positions. That makes it useful on shared helm stations where different operators need a different seating distance.

Materials and care

The anodized aluminum chassis and corrosion-free glide system suit saltwater and freshwater boats where seat hardware may see spray, damp gear, and washdowns. Keeping the tracks clear of grit and checking mounting hardware during normal boat maintenance will help the slide keep moving smoothly.

This product is a practical fit for builders, refit projects, and helm seating upgrades where powered fore and aft adjustment is needed for a wide seat or bench without moving to a tall seat base assembly.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
