Overview
The TACO Marine F40-0030BKA-1 is a clamp-on outrigger line caddy for keeping halyard and rigging lines wrapped, tidy, and within reach when outriggers are rigged or retracted. It is sold as a pair and fits outrigger poles from 1-1/8" to 1-1/2" diameter, including common 8', 12', 15', and 18' outrigger setups.
Each caddy ear clamps to the outrigger pole, with the two ears positioned opposite each other at the spacing that matches the amount of line being stored. Excess line can then be wrapped around the ears instead of hanging loose around the cockpit, gunwale, or tower area during offshore fishing and trolling runs.
The black nylon construction keeps the assembly light and practical for exposed sport-fishing installations. For 1-1/2" poles, the rubber spacer can be removed; on aluminum outrigger poles, double-sided tape between the pole surface and the inside of the caddy can help reduce slippage.
Key features
- Clamp-on outrigger line caddy for managing halyard and excess rigging line on board.
- Sold in pairs, so the caddy ears can face opposite each other and hold wrapped line neatly.
- Fits 1-1/8" to 1-1/2" outrigger pole diameters, covering common 8', 12', 15', and 18' outrigger sizes.
- Adjustable spacing on the pole lets the line wrap match the rigging length and cockpit layout.
- Black nylon body keeps the part light while standing up to normal marine use around outriggers.
- Includes stainless steel #10 fastening hardware for a secure clamp-on installation.
Installation and fit
This caddy is made for outrigger poles rather than flat deck or bulkhead mounting. The two caddy ears clamp directly onto the pole and should be placed with the ears facing away from each other, leaving enough distance between them for the amount of halyard or rigging line that needs to be wrapped.
For poles with a 1-1/2" diameter, the rubber reducer bushing is not normally used. For smaller compatible poles, the bushing helps take up the extra space inside the clamp. Before tightening the hardware, check that the caddies sit where they will not interfere with telescoping sections, rigging movement, outrigger clips, or normal stowage.
Use cases on board
This is a practical add-on for center consoles, walkarounds, and sport-fishing boats that run outriggers and need a cleaner way to manage loose halyard line. It is especially useful when the outriggers are retracted, when the boat is moving between spots, or when the cockpit needs to stay clear for fishing and crew movement.
The caddy is a good match for anglers who want a simple mechanical line-management part without adding electrical components, deck penetrations, or a more complicated storage system.
