Overview

The Vimar VM19345-CONV is a grey ARKÉ USB-A connector supplied with a 10-32VDC to 5VDC converter for low-voltage boat electrical systems. It gives a clean, built-in USB access point for cabins, saloons, covered helm areas, and other protected interior locations where crew or guests need a fixed charging or USB connection point.

The Vimar insert is a 1-module flush-mounted device with screw terminals, a matte grey finish, halogen-free thermoplastic construction, and IP20 protection. The grey version is similar to RAL 7015 and measures 22.3 mm wide, 49 mm high, and 41.4 mm deep, so the space behind the panel should be checked before installation.

The included converter steps a 10-32VDC supply down to 5VDC, which makes the assembly suitable for many 12V and 24V DC marine installations when wired through a properly protected circuit. It is intended for protected interior mounting, not exposed deck positions or locations that receive spray or washdowns.

Key features
  • Includes a 10-32VDC to 5VDC converter for integration with common 12V and 24V DC boat systems.
  • USB-A connector in the Vimar ARKÉ 1-module format for a consistent look with ARKÉ switch panels and frames.
  • Flush-mounted design keeps the face of the connector tidy in cabins, saloons, berth areas, and covered helm panels.
  • Screw terminals support fixed wiring rather than relying on a loose plug-in adapter behind the panel.
  • Grey matte finish, similar to RAL 7015, matches darker ARKÉ interiors and switch layouts.
  • Halogen-free thermoplastic body with IP20 protection for protected interior spaces.
  • Compact device size of 22.3 mm wide, 49 mm high, and 41.4 mm deep helps with panel planning before installation.

Installation and fit

This connector is best placed where the USB point can stay dry and protected, such as inside a cabin, at a nav station, near a berth, or in a covered helm panel. The IP20 rating means it should not be used as an exposed cockpit, deck, or washdown-area outlet unless the surrounding installation gives the required environmental protection.

Before cutting or ordering the rest of the trim, confirm that the mounting location accepts the Vimar ARKÉ modular format and that there is enough clearance behind the panel for the 41.4 mm device depth plus wiring. The converter should be mounted and wired so it is secure against vibration and protected from moisture.

Electrical and system integration

The converter allows the USB connector to be fed from a 10-32VDC DC supply and output 5VDC at the USB side. This is useful on boats where the available supply may be 12V or 24V, but the USB device requires a regulated 5V supply.

For a clean installation, wire it through the vessel’s protected DC distribution system and use circuit protection suitable for the wiring and the converter. As with any fixed boat electrical work, installation should be handled by a qualified marine electrician or technician who can confirm polarity, protection, cable routing, and the suitability of the mounting location.

Use on board

This product is a good match for refits and new installations where the boat already uses Vimar ARKÉ switching, or where the owner wants a USB-A point that sits neatly in a modular switch layout. It works well for everyday charging and low-voltage USB access in dry interior areas without adding a separate surface-mounted charger block.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
