Overview

The Raymarine RayNet (Female) to RayNet (Female) Ethernet Cable is a waterproof Ethernet cable range for linking Raymarine network devices on board. It is used to network Raymarine chartplotters, sonar modules, network switches, and compatible accessories that communicate through RayNet.

These cables use RayNet female connectors at the cable ends, with a locking, waterproof connection that is useful in exposed helm areas, electronics lockers, hardtops, and other spaces where spray, movement, and vibration are part of normal boat use. In an Axiom-based Raymarine network, RayNet cabling can carry chartplotter, fish finder, radar, video, and navigation data between displays and networked equipment.

Variants

This RayNet cable range varies by cable length, with standard straight RayNet female-to-female versions in 400 mm, 2 m, 5 m, 10 m, and 20 m configurations. A 10 m right-angled version is also available, using one straight RayNet female connection and one right-angled RayNet female connection for tighter mounting spaces.

The length selection mainly affects routing and service access. Shorter cables suit nearby components inside a helm pod or electronics locker, while longer cables are used for runs between displays, switches, sonar modules, and other Raymarine network devices located in different areas of the vessel.

Installation and setup

Plan the cable route before pulling it through the boat, allowing enough slack for service loops behind displays, switches, and modules. Avoid sharp bends, pinch points, and areas where the cable can rub against unfinished fiberglass, metal edges, or moving hardware.

For multi-display or larger electronics systems, these cables can be used between RayNet devices and network switches where the system layout calls for direct RayNet-to-RayNet connections. The right-angled option is useful behind flush-mounted displays, inside shallow consoles, or anywhere the connector needs to leave the device at 90 degrees.

Compatibility and fit

This cable is for Raymarine equipment with RayNet network ports. It is not an RJ45 Ethernet patch cable and is not the correct choice when one end of the connection requires a standard RJ45 Ethernet plug or socket.

It is a practical match for boat owners, installers, and technicians building or extending a Raymarine electronics network, especially when the cable run needs a waterproof locking connector rather than an exposed standard Ethernet connection.
