Overview

The Garmin 010-02594-51 is a 7 inch keyed chartplotter and fishfinder combo built around a WVGA 800 x 480 display for mapping and sonar on inland waters.

It runs on 9 to 18 Vdc power with a 3 A fast-acting fuse and is rated IPX7 for incidental water exposure, which suits an install at a console, helm, or cockpit where it will see spray and routine washdowns.

This version comes with U.S. inland Garmin Navionics+ charts and a GT20-TM transducer, giving you traditional sonar and ClearVü scanning in one package for finding structure, tracking depth changes, and confirming bottom detail while you navigate.

Key features
  • 7 inch keyed interface with WVGA 800 x 480 resolution for easy viewing in bright conditions.
  • IPX7 water rating for typical marine exposure like spray, rain, and rinse-downs.
  • Power input from 9 to 18 Vdc; max power draw 15 W (typical current draw 1.1 A at 12 Vdc).
  • Built-in traditional sonar and Garmin ClearVü CHIRP support with 500 W RMS transmit power.
  • Includes GT20-TM 4-pin transducer with transom or trolling motor mounting options and a 20 ft cable with a fast-response temperature sensor.
  • Preloaded Garmin Navionics+ mapping with U.S. inland content and 1 ft contours where available.
  • Single microSD card slot that supports up to 1 TB for extra charts, updates, and data storage.
  • Built-in Wi-Fi for pairing with the ActiveCaptain app and for wireless sharing with compatible ECHOMAP UHD2 units.
Installation and mounting

The display supports bail (tilt) mounting or a cleaner flush-mount install. For planning a tight helm layout, the unit measures 232 x 143.1 x 67 mm (W x H x D), and it needs about 62.5 mm of clearance behind it for wiring and ventilation.

The GT20-TM mounts on a transom or trolling motor. Route the transducer cable where it will not chafe, get pinched by hatches, or sit in a path where it can be hit by gear or snagged during trailering.

Power and card storage

This unit is meant for 12 V systems that fall within the 9 to 18 Vdc input range. Use a clean, fused feed and keep connections dry and strain-relieved behind the console to avoid intermittent power issues in chop and vibration.

The microSD slot is handy if you regularly move between lakes, want to add cartography, or keep files and updates organized without relying on internal storage alone.

Sonar and transducer notes

With the included GT20-TM, you get traditional sonar for clear fish arches and ClearVü scanning for a more photo-like look at structure and bottom transitions. The sonar frequency ranges supported by the unit include single-channel CHIRP from 40 to 250 kHz and ClearVü CHIRP at 260/455/800 kHz, with actual performance depending on transducer placement and water conditions.

Mapping and wireless features

The preloaded U.S. inland charts help you run familiar water and new water with confidence, especially when contour detail is important for following breaks, humps, and channel edges. Built-in Wi-Fi supports app pairing for downloads and updates, and it also allows wireless sharing of data like sonar, waypoints, and routes with compatible ECHOMAP UHD2 chartplotters.

This setup fits anglers running bass boats, aluminum fishing rigs, pontoons, and small center consoles that spend their time on lakes and rivers and want a 7 inch display with physical keys for quick operation when hands are wet or the boat is bouncing.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
