Overview
The Simrad 000-15761-001 is a HALO 200X 50 W pulse compression open-array radar system kit that includes the pedestal, the RI-50 interface module, and a 20 m interconnection cable, but does not include the antenna array. It covers close-in targets down to 6 m (20 ft) and has an instrumented range up to 72 nm, with Dual Range viewing so you can watch near traffic while still keeping weather and bigger targets in view.
Power is fed into the RI-50 on 12 V or 24 V systems (10.8-15 V DC or 20-31.2 V DC), and the RI-50 supplies the pedestal with a nominal 50 V DC. The pedestal and antenna are rated IPX6 once the array is installed, and the RI-50 is rated IPX5; the system is specified for -25°C to +55°C operation.
Key features
- 50 W solid-state pulse compression X-band radar (9.390-9.495 GHz)
- Instrumented range up to 72 nm, plus close-range detection down to 6 m (20 ft)
- Works with 3 ft, 4 ft, or 6 ft open-array antennas (antenna not included with this kit)
- Beam sharpening option that tightens horizontal beam width (down to 1.7° with 3 ft, 1.3° with 4 ft, and 0.8° with 6 ft arrays)
- Dual Range operation on compatible displays
- ZoneTrack target tracking for up to 50 targets in a defined area
- VelocityTrack Doppler processing and Dangerous Target Alerts for radar and AIS targets
- 20 m interconnection cable included, with routing options for rear exit or pole/tower installations
- Brushless motor with antenna park hold while unpowered
What’s included
- HALO 200X radar pedestal
- RI-50 radar interface module
- 20 m power and Ethernet interconnection cable
Installation and fit
This kit is used when the open-array antenna is being supplied separately, including reusing a compatible 3 ft, 4 ft, or 6 ft array. Mount the pedestal on a rigid structure with a clear sweep around the boat and enough room for the antenna turning circle: 1142 mm for a 3 ft array, 1443 mm for a 4 ft array, or 2047 mm for a 6 ft array.
The pedestal weighs about 20.3 kg (44.8 lb), so plan for a safe lift and solid backing. The interconnection cable can be routed for a rear exit at the pedestal or through a pole/tower style mount, and any deck or hardtop penetrations should be sealed to keep water out of the structure.
Electrical and system integration
Connect ship’s DC power to the RI-50, then run the interconnection cable from the RI-50 to the pedestal. Peak consumption is specified at 235 W on a 12 V system and 380 W on a 24 V system at maximum wind, with 45-60 W typical average consumption and about 11 W in standby. Mount the RI-50 so air can flow over the heatsink.
Radar data and control run over Ethernet (10/100 Base-T RJ-45) to a compatible Simrad multifunction display or radar control unit on your boat’s navigation network. Features like target tracking and collision-avoidance style highlighting depend on the display and on having solid heading and AIS data available on the network.
Use cases on board
In a busy inlet, it helps sort out fast-moving traffic and fixed marks without losing the wider picture, and offshore it gives earlier weather returns when you are watching the horizon for squalls. It suits boats with the mounting height for an open-array scanner and crews who want the reach of a 50 W system for coastal runs, night approaches, and longer passages.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
