Overview
The Raymarine Element Sun Cover is a protective cover range made for Raymarine Element displays in 7", 9", and 12" sizes. It covers the display face when the unit is not in use, helping protect the screen and front surface from UV exposure, dust, spray, and everyday contact around the helm.
This is a practical replacement or spare cover for boats where the display stays mounted at the console, flybridge, cockpit, or pilothouse between trips. It is not an electronic accessory and does not affect power, networking, sonar, or chartplotter functions. Its job is simple: keep the Element display covered when the screen is off and the boat is sitting at the dock, on a trailer, or between runs.
Key features
- Fits Raymarine Element displays, with separate versions for 7", 9", and 12" units.
- Helps shield the display face from sun exposure when the electronics are not in use.
- Protects against dust, light debris, and minor surface contact around exposed helm areas.
- Useful for open cockpits, center consoles, flybridges, and other installations where the display remains mounted between outings.
- Easy to remove before getting underway and simple to put back on after the boat is secured.
Variants
This Raymarine sun cover is offered in three configurations to match the screen size of the installed Element display.
The fit size changes by variant. The purpose of each version remains the same: covering the face of the compatible Element display when it is not being used.
- R70727: Capacity 7". This version fits a Raymarine Element 7 display and is the compact option for smaller helm layouts.
- R70728: Capacity 9". This version fits a Raymarine Element 9 display, a common size for consoles that need more screen area without moving into a larger mounting footprint.
- R70729: Capacity 12". This version fits a Raymarine Element 12 display and suits larger helm stations where the screen face needs full-size coverage between trips.
Use on board
A sun cover is most useful when the display is permanently mounted and exposed to regular light, spray, fingerprints, and cockpit activity. It helps reduce wear from day-to-day exposure without requiring the display to be removed from the boat.
This cover range is a good match for owners replacing a lost cover, adding protection to a newly installed Element display, or keeping a spare on board for a chartplotter or fishfinder that spends long periods uncovered at the helm.
Compatibility and fit
Match the cover to the display size before ordering. The 7", 9", and 12" versions are size-specific, so the correct variant should correspond to the Raymarine Element screen size already installed on the vessel.
Before fitting the cover, make sure the display face is clean and free from grit or salt residue. This helps avoid rubbing marks on the screen area when the cover is put on or removed.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
