Overview
The Raymarine A8049 Y-Cable is a transducer adaptor cable range for connecting selected transducer combinations to Raymarine Axiom RV and Axiom 2 RV 3D multifunction displays. Each configuration uses a 25-pin RV display connection and splits to two transducer-side connections, allowing a RealVision 3D RV transducer to be used alongside a compatible embedded, CP370, or DownVision style transducer connection, depending on the variant.
This cable is used when a boat’s sonar setup needs more than a single direct transducer connection at the display. It is especially useful during electronics upgrades where an Axiom RV display is being paired with an existing transducer installation, or where RealVision 3D coverage is being combined with a conventional sonar transducer already fitted to the hull.
Key features
- Y-cable format connects one 25-pin RV display port to two transducer-side connections.
- Supports Raymarine Axiom RV and Axiom 2 RV 3D displays with compatible transducer setups.
- Available with 25-pin RV, 7-pin embedded, 8-pin CP370, and 9-pin DownVision connection combinations.
- Helps combine RealVision 3D sonar with another compatible transducer connection without changing the display head.
- Useful for refits where an existing Airmar or Raymarine transducer connection is being integrated with an Axiom RV system.
Variants
The Raymarine A8049 Y-Cable is offered in multiple connection layouts so the cable can match the transducer plugs already on board.
The display-side connection is the 25-pin RV style used with Axiom RV systems. The variant differences are the two transducer-side ports, including combinations for 25-pin RV, 7-pin embedded, 8-pin CP370, and 9-pin DownVision connections.
- A80491 has 25-pin to 25-pin and 7-pin ports. This layout suits installations that need a 25-pin RV transducer connection paired with a 7-pin embedded transducer connection.
- A80492 has 25-pin to 25-pin and 8-pin ports. This layout suits installations that need a 25-pin RV transducer connection paired with an 8-pin CP370 style transducer connection.
- A80493 has 25-pin to 9-pin and 7-pin ports. This layout suits installations that need a 9-pin DownVision style transducer connection paired with a 7-pin embedded transducer connection.
- A80494 has 25-pin to 9-pin and 8-pin ports. This layout suits installations that need a 9-pin DownVision style transducer connection paired with an 8-pin CP370 style transducer connection.
Installation and setup
Before ordering, check the connector style on the display and on both transducers. The correct variant is determined by the plug format, not only by the transducer model name, so confirming the pin count helps avoid a mismatch at the helm or behind the electronics panel.
For clean sonar performance, route the cable away from high-current wiring where practical and avoid unnecessary cable length. In split transducer installations that use extensions between the transducers and the Y-cable, matched extension lengths help keep the final cable runs balanced.
Compatibility and fit
This cable range is for Raymarine Axiom RV and Axiom 2 RV 3D systems, not for every Raymarine display or every sonar module. It is a practical match for boat owners upgrading sonar electronics while keeping compatible hull-mounted or transom-mounted transducers in service.
The main buying decision is the port combination: 25-pin RV for RealVision 3D, 7-pin embedded transducer connections, 8-pin CP370 style connections, or 9-pin DownVision style connections. Matching those connectors to the existing equipment is the key step before installation.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
