Overview
The Blue Sea Systems 7615 is a 12V DC automatic timer disconnect that can also be set up as a low-voltage disconnect, an automatic charging relay, or a signal-controlled solenoid. It is rated for 120A continuous duty and 210A intermittent duty for 5 minutes, with selectable disconnect delays of 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, or 4 hours and low-voltage trip points at 11.0V, 11.5V, or 12.0V.
This makes it useful when you want a circuit to stay live for a short period after a key switch or control signal is turned off, or when you want non-critical DC loads to drop before the battery is drawn down too far. On board, that can help with house accessories, electronics, or other loads that should not keep pulling from the battery after the engine is shut down.
Key features
- 12V DC unit with 120A continuous rating and 210A intermittent rating for 5 minutes
- Can be configured as a timer disconnect, low-voltage disconnect, automatic charging relay, or solenoid
- Selectable disconnect delays of 15 minutes, 30 minutes, 1 hour, 1.5 hours, 2 hours, or 4 hours
- Selectable low-voltage disconnect points at 11.0V, 11.5V, and 12.0V
- Charge-sense thresholds of 13.0V to connect and 12.75V to disconnect in relay mode
- Sealed to IP67 for mounting in spaces that may see spray or washdowns
- 3/8"-16 (M10) tinned copper studs accept cable up to 1/0 AWG
- LED status indicator and insulated cover help with setup and service checks
Installation and setup
This unit is built for 12V systems and works across a 9.5V to 16V input range. It uses 3/8"-16 (M10) studs and is sized for 1 AWG cable to meet its current rating, with room for cable up to 1/0 AWG. In a typical installation it is placed between the battery and the load side you want controlled, then triggered by a 12V signal or by charge sense depending on how the switch settings are configured.
The insulated terminal cover helps protect the connections once the wiring is complete, which matters in battery compartments and other tight service spaces where accidental contact is a real concern. The LED indicator gives a quick visual check of operating status without needing to pull the wiring apart.
Compatibility and fit
It is built for 12V DC only, so it should be matched to a 12V house bank, start battery, or control circuit. The sealed body suits locations that may see spray, washdowns, or persistent moisture, provided the cable terminations and mounting are done properly.
It suits boats that need timed load shedding, low-voltage battery protection, or automatic battery combining in a 12V charging setup. That can make sense for small cruisers, fishing boats, and workboats where house accessories or other non-critical loads need to disconnect automatically instead of being left on until the battery is flat.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
