Overview

The Garmin 010-10729-00 is a replacement parts kit for Garmin speed and cadence bike sensors that use the GSC 10 style magnet and tie-down mounting. It refreshes the small hardware that tends to get lost during bike swaps, indoor trainer setups, or travel.

This kit includes a wheel magnet for speed pickup, a crank-arm adhesive magnet for cadence, and four cable ties for securing the sensor to the bike. It is intended for bicycle installation near the rear wheel area, including indoor training where wheel speed is still tracked.

Compatibility and fit

This is a bicycle sensor mounting parts kit, not a marine-network accessory and not a 12V or 24V electrical component. It is used with Garmin speed and cadence sensor installations that rely on the GSC 10 style magnets and frame mounting.

Common compatible head units include Garmin Edge and Forerunner models that pair with the GSC 10 sensor system, such as Edge 305, Edge 500, Edge 705, Edge 800, Forerunner 305, Forerunner 310XT, Forerunner 50, and FR60.

Installation notes

Mount the sensor body to the bike frame with the included cable ties, then position the wheel magnet and the crank-arm adhesive magnet so they pass the sensor cleanly without rubbing. After any wheel or crank service, recheck magnet alignment so speed and cadence remain consistent.

If you are reusing an older setup, remove any residue where the cadence magnet mounts so the adhesive sits flat on the crank arm. Give the adhesive time to bond before hard riding or trainer sessions.

Use on board

This kit makes sense for boat owners who keep a bike aboard for dock runs or training while traveling and want a clean, dependable sensor mount after packing and unpacking. If the bike lives in a salty environment, rinse and dry the bike before reapplying the adhesive magnet and recheck the cable ties as part of routine gear maintenance.
