Overview

The Raymarine i50 Depth is a dedicated depth instrument display for boats that need clear water-depth information at the helm, nav station, or cockpit. It shows real-time depth, minimum and maximum depth, and a depth trend indicator, with audible alarms for shallow water, deep water, and anchor watch use.

The display uses a high-contrast monochrome LCD with red backlighting and large digits for easier reading in daylight or at night. It runs on 12 V dc systems with a 10 V dc to 16 V dc operating range, draws less than 1 W in typical display-only use, and carries an IPx6 waterproof rating for exposed marine locations.

With a compact 110 mm x 115 mm x 44 mm footprint, the i50 Depth suits smaller powerboats, sailboats, yachts, and RIBs where panel space is limited but a dedicated depth readout still matters.

Key features
  • Displays current depth plus minimum depth, maximum depth, and depth trend information.
  • Audible alarms cover shallow water, deep water, and anchor watch situations.
  • High-contrast monochrome LCD with red backlighting helps readability in bright sun and low-light running.
  • SeaTalkng network-ready, with compatibility for NMEA 2000 and legacy SeaTalk systems when properly connected.
  • Built-in depth transducer interface lets the display operate as a master depth instrument when connected to a suitable transducer.
  • 12 V dc operation with a 10 V dc to 16 V dc operating range fits common onboard electrical systems.
  • IPx6 waterproof rating supports use at exposed helm and cockpit locations.
  • Surface mounting is supported, with an optional trunnion mounting kit available for installations that require bracket mounting.
Variants

The range is offered in two configurations: a display-only option and a pack that adds a through-hull depth transducer.

Both configurations are based on the i50 Depth instrument display. The pack configuration adds the P319 depth through-hull transducer for installations that need a new hull-mounted depth sensor.

  • E70059: Display only. This configuration suits installations where a compatible depth transducer or network depth source is already in place.
  • E70148: Pack with through-hull transducer. This configuration includes the i50 Depth display with a P319 depth through-hull transducer for a more complete new installation.
Installation and setup

The i50 Depth can be installed as a stand-alone depth display or added to a Raymarine instrument network. Its two SeaTalkng connections support network integration, while the transducer connection allows direct input from a compatible depth transducer.

The front-mounted format helps with panel installation, and the compact footprint is useful when replacing older instruments or fitting a new display into a crowded helm panel. Before installation, the available panel depth, power feed, network layout, and transducer location should be checked against the boat’s existing setup.

Use on board

This instrument is a practical match for skippers who want a dedicated depth readout without depending on a larger multifunction display for every glance at the water below the hull. It is especially useful for coastal cruising, anchoring, marina approaches, and shallow-water navigation where quick depth awareness matters.

For boats already using Raymarine instruments, the i50 Depth fits naturally into a mixed helm display layout and can share brightness control with compatible products for a cleaner night-running setup.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
