Overview

The Simrad 055-14838-001 is a remanufactured GO7 XSR 7-inch touchscreen chartplotter and fishfinder package that includes an Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer and a C-MAP Discover chart card. The display runs at 800x480 resolution with 1200 nits of brightness, and it powers from 10 to 17 V DC with a recommended 3A fuse. The housing is rated IPX6 and IPX7 for spray, rain, and washdowns at the helm.

On the navigation side, it has an internal GPS receiver with a 10 Hz update rate and 32 channels, plus a microSD slot for charts and updates. For system integration, there is a NMEA 2000 Micro-C port for networked data and an Ethernet connection for compatible radar and other supported accessories. Built-in Wi-Fi and Bluetooth make it easy to mirror the screen to a phone or tablet and handle updates through an onboard hotspot.

This setup fits boats where space is tight but you still want one screen for charting, depth, and structure detail, such as center consoles, bay boats, and smaller cruisers that run inshore and nearshore.

Installation and setup

Plan the mounting location so the touchscreen can be reached safely from the helm and stays readable when you are standing. The unit supports bracket mounting for easy access and panel mounting for a cleaner dash install. Allow room behind the panel for the 82.7 mm depth and for cable bends without stressing connectors.

Wire it to a clean 12 V DC supply (10 to 17 V DC operating range) and protect the circuit with the recommended 3A fuse. Even with the IPX6/IPX7 rating, it helps to route cables with drip loops and keep connections out of standing water inside the console.

Network and expansion

The NMEA 2000 Micro-C port lets the display share and receive common onboard data such as GPS position, heading sources, engine information, and AIS targets when those devices are on the same backbone. Wi-Fi can also be used to export NMEA 0183 data for compatible apps and integrations, which is useful when bridging older gear or software into a newer helm.

The Ethernet connection supports compatible radar installations and certain supported accessories. If you are building out a system over time, this display gives you a straightforward path from standalone navigation to a networked helm.

Sonar on the water

With the included Active Imaging 3-in-1 transducer, you get a traditional CHIRP view along with SideScan and DownScan for reading structure, edges, and bait holding areas. For best results, mount the transducer where it stays in clean water flow at speed, and keep the cable run protected from abrasion inside the rigging tube or chase.

The display also supports CHIRP, DownScan, and ForwardScan sonar functions when paired with compatible transducers, so it can grow with the way you fish and cruise.

Charts and route planning

The included C-MAP Discover chart card adds detailed vector charting with features like tides and currents, custom depth shading, and high-resolution bathymetry where available. The GO7 XSR also supports other optional cartography choices, which helps when you travel between regions or prefer a specific chart ecosystem for your local waters.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
