Overview

The Simrad 000-13944-001 is a TM150M transom mount CHIRP transducer with a 9-pin connector and a 10 m cable for Medium CHIRP sonar (95-155 kHz) at 300 W.

It reads depth and water temperature from one housing, and the beam tightens from 26 to 17 degrees across the band, which helps keep fish marks separate when you are working structure, bait schools, or suspended targets.

This style of transom mount install is common on planing hulls with outboards or sterndrives, and it is typically used on smaller boats up to about 8 m (25 ft) where easy access and adjustability matter.

Key features
  • Medium CHIRP 95-155 kHz with a 60 kHz sweep for one-channel fishfinding.
  • 300 W rating with beamwidth that narrows from 26 to 17 degrees across the band.
  • Integrated depth and fast-response water-temperature sensing through the same transducer.
  • Transom-mount format suited to planing hulls and common outboard or I/O setups.
  • Urethane housing with a release-style bracket that helps protect the transducer if it strikes an obstruction.
  • Works on fiberglass, wood, aluminum, or steel transoms when mounted in clean water flow.
  • 9-pin connector with 10 m (33 ft) attached cable for routing back to your sounder or sonar module.
Compatibility and fit

This transducer outputs sonar and temperature data through a 9-pin connector. Confirm that your display or sonar module has the matching 9-pin transducer port and supports Medium CHIRP (95-155 kHz). If your unit uses a different connector style, an adapter may be required.

It is intended for a transom angle in the 3 to 20 degrees range. Boats with stepped hulls, heavy aeration, or tight engine brackets may need extra care in placement to keep the transducer in solid water at speed.

Installation and setup

Mount it where the face stays submerged when the boat is on plane, and where prop wash, strakes, and thru-hull turbulence will not feed bubbles across the bottom of the transducer. A small height change makes a big difference, so plan to fine-tune after the first sea trial.

Route the cable away from ignition wiring and high-current runs when possible, leave a drip loop at the connector, and seal any deck pass-through with a proper gland so washdowns do not follow the cable inside.

Use cases on board

This setup fits inshore, coastal, and freshwater fishing boats that need clear CHIRP target separation around reefs, points, docks, and drop-offs, while keeping the simplicity of a transom mount that is easy to inspect and adjust.

Maintenance and care

Rinse after saltwater use and keep the acoustic face free of barnacles and heavy buildup. Mild soap and water is usually enough for cleaning.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
