Overview
The Garmin 010-12221-11 is a thru-hull transducer pair (GT41-THP) that combines CHIRP ClearVü and SideVü scanning with traditional sonar on a compatible 12-pin Garmin sonar connection. The ClearVü/SideVü elements operate at 260/455 kHz and are rated at 500 W per element (1,500 W total), with a separate traditional element rated at 600 W at 50/200 kHz.
This is a port and starboard set with stainless steel stems, meant for boats where you want a stable thru-hull install and clean water flow past the elements. A fast-response temperature sensor is built in, and the installation is intended for hull deadrises under 25 degrees.

Compatibility and fit
This set uses a 12-pin plug, so confirm your chartplotter or sonar module has a matching 12-pin transducer port before ordering. It supports traditional sonar plus ClearVü and SideVü scanning, so it is best paired with a Garmin system that can display those sonar views.
Because it is a port and starboard pair, plan the install so both stems sit in clean water and stay clear of strakes, intakes, and anything that introduces bubbles or turbulence.
Installation and setup
A thru-hull install involves drilling the hull, bedding the stems with marine sealant, and securing the housings from inside with the supplied hardware. The transducer bodies must be locked in place with at least one anti-rotation bolt so they cannot twist when the boat is underway.
If the deadrise at the mounting point is more than 5 degrees, use the included fairing block and cut it to match the hull angle so the transducer faces sit parallel to the waterline. Fairing blocks are intended to be cut up to a 25 degree angle.
On cored fiberglass hulls, seal any exposed core around the cutout before final bedding to keep water out of the laminate. Many owners schedule this kind of work during a haul-out, and a marine installer is a good call if you are not set up for cutting and sealing hull penetrations.
On-the-water use
ClearVü is the down-looking scanning view for reading hard bottom, edges, and bait, while SideVü helps you cover water on both sides without driving directly over the target. The traditional element is still useful when you want familiar bottom tracking and fish arches while you are running, drifting, or trolling.
