Overview
The Vimar Plana Series is a range of RJ45 modules for structured wiring, with versions that work either as a Keystone adaptor or as a terminated Cat6 UTP outlet in the same device format. Across the range, the front dimensions are 22.20 mm wide, 49.00 mm high, and 20.50 mm deep, with white and silver finish options to match the surrounding Plana hardware.
For marine interiors, this type of insert suits protected panel locations where you need a neat RJ45 connection for onboard data, network, or multimedia runs. The outlet versions use an RJ45 8(8) interface, Cat6 unshielded construction, and T568A/B universal wiring, while the adaptor versions are made for RJ45 Keystone connectors and include a dust cap at the front.
Key features
- Plana device format with a compact 22.20 x 49.00 x 20.50 mm front size
- Range includes both RJ45 Keystone adaptor versions and complete Cat6 UTP RJ45 outlet versions
- Cat6 outlet versions use RJ45 8(8), 8 contacts, T568A/B universal wiring, and insulation-piercing terminals
- Dust protection at the front, with a dust cap on adaptor versions and a dust cover on outlet versions
- Available in white RAL 9003 and silver RAL 9006
- Cat6 outlet versions are unshielded and suitable for round cable, with installation carried out using the correct termination tool
Variants
This product is offered in multiple configurations within the same Plana RJ45 module family.
The finish changes between white and silver. The cover field also separates two different RJ45 module styles: the no-cover versions are Keystone adaptors, while the with-cover versions are Cat6 UTP outlets with an integrated front cover.
- VM14337.C.SL - Silver, No Cover. This version is the RJ45 Keystone adaptor, so it is used when the Keystone connector is supplied separately and fitted into the module.
- VM14337.C - White, No Cover. This is the same RJ45 Keystone adaptor format in white for installations that match white Plana devices.
- VM14337.6.SL - Silver, With Cover. This version is the RJ45 Cat6 UTP outlet with an integrated dust cover and direct cable termination at the module.
- VM14337.6 - White, With Cover. This is the same Cat6 outlet format in white for a finished RJ45 point within a white Plana layout.
Compatibility and fit
The no-cover versions are intended for RJ45 Keystone connectors. The with-cover versions are complete Cat6 outlets, so the network cable is terminated directly at the module instead of using a separate Keystone insert. That difference matters when you are matching the part to an existing panel build or planning a refit.
These modules are shaped for the Vimar Plana device line, so it is worth checking the surrounding frame and support hardware before ordering. The Cat6 outlet versions are unshielded, which makes them suitable for UTP cabling layouts rather than shielded RJ45 systems.
Installation and setup
The Cat6 outlet versions use T568A/B universal wiring and require the correct tool for termination. In practice, they suit a proper behind-panel install where the cable can be routed cleanly, terminated at the module, and kept protected once the faceplate is in place.
On board, this range makes the most sense in enclosed interior locations such as nav stations, cabin panels, helm consoles, or service areas where an RJ45 connection needs to stay tidy and easy to reach. It is a good match for boats that use panel-mounted network points instead of loose patch leads hanging out of lockers or instrument spaces.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
