Overview
The Vimar Plana Series is a 2P+E French SICURY outlet range for flush-mounted AC installations that use the French socket format. It is rated 16 A at 250 V, works at 50 to 60 Hz, and uses a 2-module layout, which makes it easy to match with other Plana devices in a finished interior.
The body is made from halogen-free thermoplastic with a glossy surface, and the device measures 44.8 x 49.0 x 35.9 mm. Enhanced contact protection is built in, and the IP20 rating makes this a fit for protected indoor spaces rather than exposed areas on deck.
For marine interiors, this outlet suits cabins, saloons, galleys, and other dry accommodation spaces where a French standard receptacle is needed and the installation is already based around Vimar Plana components.
Key features
- French standard 2P+E outlet rated 16 A, 250 V AC, 50 to 60 Hz
- 2-module Plana format for flush-mounted installations
- SICURY enhanced contact protection built into the outlet
- Halogen-free thermoplastic body with a glossy finish
- Compact 44.8 x 49.0 x 35.9 mm size for panel and box clearance checks
- Range includes white or silver finish, versions with or without cover, and screwed or screwless terminal options
Variants
Across the listed configurations, the differences are finish, front cover, and terminal style. The range is available in white or silver, with or without a cover, and with either screwed terminals or screwless push-in clamp terminals.
One white version adds antibacterial treatment. Across the range, the core outlet format stays the same: 2P+E French standard, 16 A, 250 V, 50 to 60 Hz, flush-mounted, and built as a 2-module device.
Compatibility and fit
This outlet is part of the Vimar Plana device family, so it is intended for Plana modular installations and a 2-module opening. The compact body helps when checking available depth behind cabin liners, furniture panels, or interior bulkheads.
Because protection is IP20, it belongs in dry interior locations. It is not intended for cockpits, exterior helm stations, wet lockers, or other places that see spray, washdowns, or direct weather exposure.
Installation and use on board
Screwed-terminal versions use conventional conductor termination, while the screwless versions use push-in clamp terminals. Versions with cover add a protective front flap over the socket face when the outlet is not in use.
This range is a good match for boats already laid out with French standard AC outlets and for refit work where the goal is to keep the same Vimar Plana look across switches, sockets, and other interior electrical devices.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
