Overview
The Vimar Plana Series is a flush-mounted 2-module USB supply unit range for boats that already have an AC electrical system on board. Depending on the version, it gives you two USB-A ports, one USB-A plus one USB-C, or two USB-C ports, with 5 V output and total charging capacity of 2.1 A or 3 A.
This is an AC input device, not a direct 12 V or 24 V DC charger. It fits where the boat is already using shore power, generator, or inverter-fed AC circuits and needs a built-in charging point at the berth, nav station, salon, or another protected interior panel.
Across the range, the format stays compact at about 44.8 to 45 mm wide and 49 mm high, with body depth around 39.5 to 40 mm. Minimum installation box depth changes by version, so it is worth checking panel depth before ordering.

Variants
This range changes in two main ways: finish and port layout. You can choose white or silver, and the charging face can be configured with two USB-A ports, one USB-A plus one USB-C port, or two USB-C ports.
The electrical rating also changes with the port arrangement. The dual USB-A versions deliver 5 V with 2.1 A total output and use 120-230 V AC input. The mixed USB-A plus USB-C and dual USB-C versions deliver 5 V with up to 3 A total output and use 120-240 V AC input. On versions with USB-C, the Type C connection is reversible, and a single output can charge at up to 3 A. The Plana 2-module footprint stays the same across the family, while installation depth changes slightly between versions.
Installation and fit
This unit range is a sensible match when the boat already uses Vimar Plana components or when a refit is being planned around that format. Because it mounts flush, it gives a tidy charging point without adding a plug-in adapter or a loose converter in the cabin.
Check the available depth behind the panel before fitting. Confirmed minimum box depth runs from 29 mm on the USB-A plus USB-C version to 35 mm on the dual USB-C version and 36 mm on the dual USB-A version. As an AC-powered interior fitting, it belongs in protected spaces rather than open deck areas or places that see regular spray and washdown.
Use on board
This range works well in cabins, berth spaces, saloon seating, and navigation areas where phones, tablets, and other portable electronics are charged while the AC system is live. It also suits owners who want a built-in charging point that sits cleanly in the panel instead of relying on socket adapters.
It is a better fit for boats that already make regular use of shore power, generator time, or inverter-fed AC circuits. Boats that need USB charging only from the house battery bank with the AC system off will usually be better served by a dedicated 12 V or 24 V DC USB outlet.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
