Overview
The Garmin 010-10117-02 is a black nylon carrying case that keeps a handheld GPS protected and easy to grab when you are moving between the dock, the cockpit, and the tender.
The case measures 7.4 in x 3.0 in x 1.4 in (18.8 cm x 7.6 cm x 3.6 cm) and closes with a zipper opening that runs wide, so you are not fighting the case when you need to stow or pull the unit quickly. A belt loop on the back lets you keep the GPS on your person instead of sliding around in a nav bag or console drawer.
This is a soft, zippered case for everyday protection from scuffs and knocks. It is not a sealed waterproof enclosure, so plan on separate water protection if the GPS will be exposed to heavy spray or full immersion.
Key features
- Case size: 7.4 in x 3.0 in x 1.4 in (18.8 cm x 7.6 cm x 3.6 cm) for many handheld GPS form factors
- Black nylon exterior with a zippered closure for quick stowage and access
- Wide opening makes it easier to slide a handheld in and out, even with cold or wet hands
- Belt loop on the back for carrying on a belt or strap while underway or on shore
- Helps reduce scuffs and impact marks when the GPS is stored in a gear bag, chart table drawer, or console compartment
Compatibility and fit
This case fits a wide range of Garmin handheld GPS units, including many GPSMAP handheld models (such as the 60, 62, 64, 65, 66, 67, 76, 78, 79, 86, and 96 series) and Montana 6xx models, along with other similarly sized Garmin handhelds. It is also used with several Garmin handheld GPS and radio combinations in the Rino line.
For the cleanest fit, compare your device dimensions to the case size and account for anything that adds bulk, such as thick protective skins, oversized lanyard knots, or mounting spines. This case is not sized for the Montana 700 series.
Use cases on board
This case is a practical add-on for boats that keep a handheld GPS as a backup to the main plotter, for a ditch bag, or for taking position and route data into the tender. It also suits anglers and cruisers who carry a handheld in the cockpit and want it protected when it is set down on fiberglass, teak, or nonskid.
Maintenance and care
After saltwater exposure, rinse the outside of the case with fresh water and let it dry fully with the zipper open before storing a device inside. Keeping the case dry helps prevent trapped moisture in lockers and reduces the chance of corrosion on the handheld’s contacts and accessories.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
