Overview

The Vimar Plana Series is a range of 1P 16AX 250 V 2-way switches for flush-mounted AC lighting control in cabins, passageways, heads, galleys, and other protected interior spaces on board. These switches use a rocker/button format with screw terminals, support optional exchangeable LED lighting for control and orientation, and are rated for a maximum of 200 W with self-ballasted lamps.

This range fits Vimar Plana modular layouts where the switch needs to match an existing panel format on the vessel. IP40 protection and flush mounting make it better suited to dry interior locations rather than exposed deck or washdown areas.

Across the range, the switching format stays 1P 16AX 250 V with optional lighting, flush mounting, screw terminals, and IP40 protection. The variables are finish, antibacterial treatment on one white version, and module width. The 1-module versions are 22.30 mm wide, while the 2-module versions are 44.80 mm wide. Height stays 49.00 mm, depth is 38.40 mm, and built-in depth is 24.00 mm.

• VM14005.SL: silver finish, 1-module format. This version fits a single-module Plana opening with a silver face and lacquered surface.
• VM14005: white finish, 1-module format. This is the standard white single-module version for Plana layouts built around a one-module switch position.
• VM14005.2.SL: silver finish, 2-module format. The wider body matches Plana layouts that allocate two modules to the switch while keeping the same switching function.
• VM14005.2: white finish, 2-module format. This version fits a two-module opening in white Plana installations.
• VM14005.AB: white finish with antibacterial treatment, 1-module format. It keeps the single-module footprint and adds a treated surface for touchpoints where hygiene matters.

Compatibility and fit

This switch belongs to the Vimar Plana device family, so fit should be checked against the Plana mounting and cover components already used on the boat. Module count matters before ordering, especially when replacing a switch in a finished panel, because the 1-module and 2-module versions do not share the same width.

Installation and onboard use

On board, this type of switch works well for interior AC lighting circuits in cabins, passageways, utility spaces, and similar protected areas where flush mounting is preferred. The 24.00 mm built-in depth helps when space behind the panel is limited, but box depth, conductor size, and the vessel's AC installation standard still need to be checked before fitting.

Processing and dispatch

If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
