Overview
The Vimar E27 Porcelain Lampholder is a ceramic E27 bulb holder for replacement work and new light assemblies where a standard Edison screw lamp base is required. The body measures 43 mm in diameter and mounts by screw fixing, with a 3/8 inch nipple thread.
This range uses a cylindrical white porcelain body and comes in three mounting layouts. That gives you a direct-fix option for a flat mounting surface, a straight bracket version where fixing slots help with alignment, and a 90° insulated bracket version where the socket needs a different mounting angle inside the fitting.
Key features
- E27 Edison lampholder for standard E27 bulbs
- 43 mm cylindrical ceramic body in white
- Screw-mount format with 3/8 inch nipple thread
- Three fixing layouts to match different lamp housings and rebuilds
- CE and ENEC marked
Variants
This lampholder is offered in multiple configurations built around the same 43 mm ceramic E27 body.
What changes between the versions is the fixing style and hole pattern. The socket format, material, colour, and screw-mount construction stay the same across the range.
- VM02174: direct-fix body with ø 4 mm fixing holes and 18 mm fixing centres. This suits fixtures where the lampholder mounts straight to the base without an added bracket.
- VM02174.D: straight fixing bracket with 4.5 x 6 mm fixing slots and 53 mm fixing centres. The slotted bracket gives a little more freedom when lining up an existing mounting plate.
- VM02174.S: 90° insulated fixing bracket with 4.5 x 9 mm fixing holes. This changes the mounting angle, which helps when the socket needs to sit off the main fixing surface.
Installation and fit
Start by confirming the bulb base on your fixture, since this holder is for E27 lamps only. Then compare the fixing pattern on the existing light with the version you are replacing, especially if the old holder uses a bracket or sits at a right angle inside the housing.
The 43 mm body size matters in enclosed lights, so it is worth checking clearance around the socket and the lamp itself before ordering. The 3/8 inch nipple thread also matters if the holder is being installed through a shade ring, bracket, or threaded fitting on the light body.
Use on board
This is a good match for refit and repair jobs on cabin lights, utility lights, and portable lamps that already use an E27 socket. It also suits installers who need to keep the original mounting style of the fixture instead of changing the whole light assembly.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
