Installation and fit

Mount the rack where the rods can sit securely without interfering with hatches, seating, wiring, steering lines, or other gear. Under-gunnel mounting is the most common boat use, but the rack can also be used on a garage wall or dockside storage area when the surface is suitable for the supplied hardware.

Before drilling, position the rack with the rods in place to confirm handle clearance, reel clearance, and access to the bungee cords. A backing plate is included, which is useful when mounting through thinner panels or areas that benefit from a wider load spread.
