Overview
The TACO Marine V30-0109B10-1 is a black weather seal tape for sealing hatches, live wells, exterior doors, instrument covers, electronic boxes, access compartments, windows, and windshield areas on a boat. It measures 10' long x 5/8" wide x 3/8" high, giving you a practical strip size for small sealing jobs, replacement work, and noise reduction around lids or panels.
This tape uses a flexible sponge rubber construction with a medium closed-cell density and a heavy-duty self-adhesive backing. It helps reduce leaks, rattling, vibration, and shock where panels meet frames, especially in areas exposed to spray, sunlight, temperature swings, and regular washdowns.
Key features
- 10' length with a 5/8" width and 3/8" height for boat hatches, doors, compartments, and covers.
- Black weather seal tape that blends neatly with many deck fittings, hatch frames, and access panels.
- Flexible sponge rubber with medium closed-cell density helps block water intrusion and reduce rattling.
- Heavy-duty self-adhesive backing supports cleaner installation without separate mechanical fasteners.
- Helps absorb shock and vibration where lids, panels, or doors close against a hard surface.
- Suitable for live wells, exterior doors, instrument covers, electronic boxes, access compartments, windows, and windshield areas.
- Resists water absorption, sunlight damage, and temperature extremes common in marine environments.
Installation and setup
Install the tape on a clean, dry surface so the adhesive can make full contact with the mounting area. Old adhesive, wax, salt residue, oil, and loose paint should be removed before application. Press the strip firmly along the full length, especially around corners and ends, to help the seal sit evenly against the mating surface.
For hatches, access doors, and electronics covers, check the closing pressure after installation. The seal should compress enough to reduce water entry and rattling without forcing the latch or hinge out of alignment.
Use cases on board
This weather seal is a useful match for boat owners replacing worn gasket material around compartments, small doors, live wells, and protective covers. It also works well for quieting lids and panels that chatter underway, especially on fishing boats, center consoles, runabouts, pontoons, and cruisers that see spray, vibration, and regular deck washing.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
