Overview
The Vimar LINEA Series is a 1/2M blank module for closing an unused half-module opening in a flush-mounted modular installation. It keeps the front of the assembly clean and finished while preserving the layout of a LINEA switch or control position. Across the listed variants, the module body measures 11.0 mm wide, 52.8 mm high, and 14.3 mm deep, with an IP40 protection rating for protected interior locations.
This insert is made from halogen-free thermoplastic with a matt untreated surface and uses claw-and-screw fastening in a built-in format. It has no contacts, no lighting, and no signal lamp, so its role is straightforward: cover the spare position neatly and leave the surrounding installation looking complete.
Key features
- 1/2M format for closing an unused half-module space in a Vimar LINEA modular assembly
- Built-in mounting format with claw-and-screw fastening
- Halogen-free thermoplastic body with a matt surface finish
- IP40 rating for protected indoor and enclosed panel locations
- Compact front size of 11.0 x 52.8 mm with a depth of 14.3 mm
- No switching contacts, light source, or signal lamp, so it functions purely as a blank cover
Variants
This module is offered in multiple color finishes within the same LINEA 1/2M format.
Across the listed variants, the size, mounting method, thermoplastic construction, matt finish, and IP40 protection stay the same. What changes is the visible front color, so the blank can match the surrounding LINEA devices and trim more closely.
- VM30040.G: Black, RAL 7021. This finish blends into darker switch layouts and trim details where a lower-contrast front is preferred.
- VM30040.C: Canvas, RAL 7032. This is a softer neutral tone that suits warmer interiors and installations that do not call for a bright white insert.
- VM30040.B: White, RAL 9016. This finish fits cleanly into light-colored panels and white LINEA assemblies.
Installation and fit
This part is meant for LINEA modular assemblies where a half-module position needs to be blanked off without leaving an exposed gap. It is useful during refits, panel cleanups, and staged installations where one space is being left unused for the time being.
On board, it makes the most sense in protected interior areas such as cabins, interior switch panels, and enclosed helm consoles that stay out of direct spray. The IP40 rating suits dry locations and routine handling, rather than exposed deck positions or washdown-prone spaces.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
