Overview
The Perko 1047 Plug-In Type Base is a rectangular pole light base for plug-in navigation light poles that use a 3/4 inch locking collar connection. It is made for deck or stern mounting where a removable pole light needs a clean electrical connection and a secure seated base.
The base uses polished stainless steel with black polymer components and a water resistant slide cover to help protect the socket when the light pole is removed. Its 0 degree pole rake keeps the pole upright from the mounting surface, and the 3-1/2 inch x 1-1/2 inch base footprint fits many small boat, fishing boat, runabout, and tender installations where space on the gunwale or transom area is limited.
Key features
- Plug-in base for 3/4 inch pole lights with locking collar connection.
- Polished stainless steel finish with black polymer components for exposed deck and cockpit mounting areas.
- Water resistant slide cover helps shield the socket when the pole light is not installed.
- Pigtail leads support hardwired connection into the vessel lighting circuit.
- 0 degree pole rake keeps the installed pole vertical from the mounting surface.
- Base measures 3-1/2 inch x 1-1/2 inch and uses #8 mounting screws.
- Available in 2 pin and 3 pin versions to match compatible Perko all-round or bi-color pole light series.
Variants
This Perko 1047 base is offered in two pin configurations so the socket can match the pole light type already installed on the boat or being fitted during a lighting replacement.
The number of pins is the changing attribute between these variants. The stainless steel finish, black polymer construction, water resistant slide cover, pigtail leads, 0 degree rake, 3-1/2 inch x 1-1/2 inch base size, and #8 screw requirement are consistent across the listed configurations.
- 1047P0SDP, Number of Pins 2. This version fits Perko 1343, 1348, 1400, 1440, 1442, 1444, 1450, 1451, 1452, 1460, and 1470 Series all-round pole lights.
- 10473BSDP, Number of Pins 3. This version fits Perko 1211 and 1421 Series bi-color pole lights.
Installation and fit
This base is meant for a flat mounting surface where the pole can stand vertically without leaning. Before drilling, check that the chosen location gives the pole light the required visibility and that there is enough clearance below the surface for the pigtail leads and wiring connections.
Use #8 fasteners that suit the mounting surface and bedding method used on the boat. On exposed decks, a proper marine sealant around the fastener holes helps reduce water entry into the laminate or core.
Use on board
This base is a practical match for boats that use removable navigation light poles and need a serviceable plug-in socket rather than a fixed light assembly. It is especially useful where the pole light is removed for trailering, storage, fishing clearance, or cockpit access.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
