Overview
This Vimar shade holder ring for E27 lampholders is a threaded retaining ring used to secure a shade on compatible E27 lampholders. It is made from glass-reinforced polyester resin and measures 55 mm in diameter with a 15 mm height, so it stays compact while covering the threaded front of the holder.
This is an accessory part rather than the lampholder itself. The key fit point is an E27 holder with a threaded skirt, which is what allows the ring to clamp the shade in place. For marine refits and routine maintenance, that matters more than bulb choice alone.
Key features
- Fits E27 lampholders with a threaded skirt
- Glass-reinforced polyester resin body
- 55 mm diameter and 15 mm height
- Opaque finish available in black or white
- Accessory ring only, not the lampholder
Variants
This product is offered in two color configurations for the same shade-holder ring format.
The difference between variants is color. The threaded E27 application, overall size, and base construction remain the same across both versions.
- VM02109: Black. A straightforward match for dark lampholders, trim, or fittings where the ring should blend into the surround.
- VM02109.B: White. A cleaner visual match for white fittings and lighter interior lamp assemblies.
Compatibility and fit
This ring suits fittings that use an E27 lampholder with external threads for a retaining ring. Before ordering, check the holder style on the light already installed, since a plain or unthreaded E27 holder will not accept this ring. The ring is opaque and works as a mechanical shade retainer, not as an electrical part.
Installation and setup
On board, this part is usually used when a cabin or utility light still has a serviceable E27 holder but needs a replacement ring to hold the shade correctly. Fit the shade over the threaded skirt and screw the ring down evenly by hand until the shade is held in place without forcing the resin body.
Use on board
This is a good match for boats that use simple E27 light assemblies and need a like-for-like ring in black or white. It makes the most sense for interior lights, berth lights, or service-area fixtures where the existing holder is staying in place and only the shade-retaining ring needs to be replaced.
