Overview
The Raymarine T912 is a retractable thru-hull depth transducer for Raymarine mn100 T100 Speed and Depth systems. It is a depth-only sensor with a thru-hull mounting style, supplied with 6 meters of cable for routing back to the instrument system.
This transducer uses a 2" (51 mm) diameter fitting and supports hull thicknesses up to 2.125" (55 mm), making those two measurements the key checks before ordering. The retractable body can be removed for cleaning, which is useful on boats that sit in the water and collect growth around the hull fitting.
The T912 has been used as the standard depth transducer with mn100 T100 Speed and Depth systems since August 2004. Earlier T100 installations may have been supplied with the T905 Shorty Depth Transducer, so checking the existing transducer style and hull fitting is important before replacement.
Key features
- Retractable thru-hull depth transducer for Raymarine mn100 T100 Speed and Depth systems
- Depth-only configuration with no speed or temperature function
- 2" (51 mm) diameter fitting for matching the existing hull opening
- Works with hull thicknesses up to 2.125" (55 mm)
- Removable insert helps with cleaning and service when marine growth builds up
- Supplied with 6 meters of cable for installation routing
- Replacement path for T100 systems supplied from August 2004 onward
Installation and fit
Before installation, confirm the existing hull opening, hull thickness, and cable route. The 2" (51 mm) diameter and 2.125" (55 mm) maximum hull thickness are the main fit points, especially when replacing an older unit rather than installing into a new hull.
Because this is a thru-hull transducer, installation should place the sensing face in clean water flow and away from turbulence caused by strakes, keels, through-hull fittings, or prop wash. The retractable format is helpful for routine cleaning, but the hull fitting still needs correct bedding and inspection as part of normal below-waterline maintenance.
Compatibility and use on board
The T912 is intended for Raymarine mn100 T100 Speed and Depth systems where a separate depth transducer is required. It does not add speed, temperature, or CHIRP sonar functions, so it is best matched to installations that only need depth input through the compatible instrument system.
This is a practical replacement part for sailors and powerboat owners maintaining an existing Raymarine wireless instrument setup, especially where the original depth reading is still part of the cockpit navigation picture for coastal cruising, club racing, or general depth awareness in shallow water.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
