Overview
The TACO Marine T10-7005CF is a pair of carbon fiber Tele-Sun shade poles for creating removable sun coverage from existing deck-mounted rod holders. Each pole telescopes from 52.89 in. to 80.4 in., giving boat owners a practical way to support shade fabric at the cockpit, bow, stern, or sandbar setup without adding a fixed frame.
The carbon fiber tubes keep handling and stowage manageable, while the clear Awl Grip UV-protection helps the poles stand up to exposure on deck. The system uses a 1/4 in. rod holder pin, a 1/4 in. rope diameter, a 1-1/2 in. main tube, and a 1-1/4 in. inner tube. It fits deck-mounted rod holders with a 1-1/2 in. inside diameter.
These poles are made for boaters who want shade that can be deployed when needed and stored when the day is done. Canvas or shade fabric and the 10 degree flush mount rod holder are not included, so those parts should be matched to the boat and installation layout before setup.
Key features
- Sold as a pair of telescoping carbon fiber shade poles for removable boat shade setups.
- Extends from 52.89 in. to 80.4 in. to help position shade fabric over the cockpit, bow, stern, or lounging area.
- Clear Awl Grip UV-protection on the carbon fiber material helps with long days of deck exposure.
- Installs into deck-mounted rod holders using a 1/4 in. pin.
- Works with rod holders that have a 1-1/2 in. inside diameter.
- Cam cleat allows line tension to be adjusted after the shade fabric is attached.
- Open hood gives another way to clamp fabric using a bungee cord system.
- Locking mechanism and 360 degree swivel collar support practical positioning while setting the shade.
- Mesh carrying bag helps keep the poles together and protected during storage.
Installation and setup
Setup is straightforward when the boat already has the right rod holders in place. Insert the poles into the rod holders, secure the sun-protection fabric to the boat top, connect the fabric to the poles, and extend the poles until the fabric sits in the needed position.
The cam cleat is useful once the fabric is in place because it lets the line tension be adjusted without rebuilding the setup. For boats that use a different fabric attachment approach, the open hood feature supports a bungee cord clamping method.
Compatibility and fit
This shade pole pair is intended for deck-mounted rod holders with a 1-1/2 in. inside diameter. The 10 degree flush mount rod holder and the canvas material are separate items, so the rod holder angle, deck location, and fabric layout should be checked against the boat before installation.
The poles can be used toward the front or rear of the boat, depending on the rod holder placement and where shade is needed. They are a good match for center consoles, fishing boats, day boats, and cruising setups where removable shade is more useful than a permanent structure.
Maintenance and care
Rinse the poles with fresh water after use around spray or sand, then let them dry before placing them back in the mesh carrying bag. Before each setup, check the rod holder fit, pin engagement, line tension, and fabric attachment points so the shade system is secure before the boat gets underway or conditions change.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
