Overview
This Vimar LED signalling unit is a 110-250V, 50/60 Hz, 0.3W insert for axial switches and switch or push-button applications. It adds a built-in LED light at the switch point, which helps the control stand out in low light on AC circuits that use this insert format.
On board, it makes the most sense in cabin, passageway, galley, or service-area switch positions that already use Vimar axial controls. The range comes in five LED colors, so panel indication can stay consistent across the boat without changing the electrical rating of the insert.
Key features
- 110-250V AC, 50/60 Hz operating range for mains-voltage switch circuits
- 0.3W LED insert with built-in light source
- Made for axial switches and used on switch or push-button control points
- Available in light blue, white, amber, green, and red
- Listed variants keep the same electrical rating and change only the LED color
Variants
This product is offered in multiple color configurations under the same LED signalling unit range.
Across the listed variants, the change is the LED color. The 110-250V, 50/60 Hz, 0.3W axial-switch format stays the same.
- VM00938.B: light blue LED. This version gives the switch a cooler-looking indicator that is easy to distinguish from warmer panel lights.
- VM00938.W: white LED. This keeps the indication neutral on panels that use a standard white locator light.
- VM00938.A: amber LED. This adds a warmer visual cue on panels where amber is part of the existing color coding.
- VM00938.G: green LED. This suits panels that already use green as the visual code for a given circuit or control point.
- VM00938.R: red LED. This gives a strong color contrast where red is used as a distinct panel marker.
Compatibility and fit
This is an insert for axial switchgear, not a standalone panel lamp and not a low-voltage indicator. Before ordering, match the insert format already in the switch and make sure the circuit is a 110-250V AC application rather than a 12V or 24V DC system.
It works well for refits, repairs, or color standardization on boats that already use Vimar axial switchgear in interior spaces. Where the installation mixes switch families or system voltages, checking the existing insert first helps avoid a mismatch.
Installation and setup
Wiring method matters with these signalling units. Series wiring is used with incandescent or halogen loads; when the controlled circuit uses other lamp types, the connection method should be checked against the circuit layout before installation.
The unit sits within the switch assembly, so protection comes from the surrounding switch location rather than from the insert itself. For boat installations, that usually points to interior panels and other sheltered positions instead of exposed spray areas.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
