Overview
The Vimar SICURY is a 1-way plug adaptor with a 2P+E 16 A German/French plug on one side and a 2P+E 16 A Italian standard P17/11 socket on the other. It is rated for 250 V with a maximum load of 1500 W, so it is used when equipment with an Italian plug needs to connect to a German or French style outlet.
This is a portable adaptor rather than a fixed wiring device. It makes sense for temporary connections where plug formats do not match, including onboard use in protected interior spaces, service areas, or dockside settings where a quick plug-format change is needed without altering the vessel’s installed sockets.
Key features
- 2P+E 16 A German/French plug with 2P+E 16 A Italian standard P17/11 socket outlet
- 250 V rating with maximum load up to 1500 W
- Single-outlet adaptor format for one connected device or one lead at a time
- Portable body for temporary use where installed outlets and equipment plugs follow different standards
- Available in black or white with the same electrical format across both versions
Variants
This product is offered in two colour options. The electrical layout stays the same across both versions, including the 250 V rating, 1500 W maximum load, 2P+E 16 A German/French plug, and Italian P17/11 socket outlet.
The difference between variants is the exterior finish, which can matter when the adaptor will stay visible in a cabin, galley, workshop area, or service locker.
- VM00301: Black. A darker finish that blends in with black leads, chargers, and service equipment.
- VM00301.B: White. A lighter finish that is easier to match with white interiors and light-coloured electrical accessories.
Compatibility and fit
Check the connection direction before ordering. This adaptor plugs into a German or French style receptacle and gives you an Italian P17/11 outlet. It is not the reverse arrangement.
It changes plug format only. The connected equipment still needs to match the available supply and stay within the adaptor’s 1500 W load limit.
Installation and onboard use
The portable format suits temporary use rather than permanent onboard wiring. It is a practical match for boats that move between marinas, service points, or storage facilities where German or French outlet standards may be present while onboard portable equipment uses an Italian plug format.
For marine use, it is best kept in a protected location and used as a portable accessory rather than as part of a fixed electrical installation.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
