Overview
The Vimar Supernova is a 2P+E plug for 127V portable electrical connections that follow American and Saudi Arabian standards. Across the range, it is rated 15A and uses a straight body with axial cable entry, so the cable exits in line with the plug.
The housing is thermoplastic and the conductors terminate on screw terminals, which makes it a practical option for replacing a worn plug end or assembling a cord set that needs a firm connection. With an IP20 rating, this plug is suited to dry interior spaces on board rather than exposed deck areas or washdown zones.
Key features
- 15A, 127V rating for equipment and cord sets built around this electrical standard
- 2P+E configuration for American and Saudi Arabian standard connections
- Straight plug body with axial cable entry to keep the cable aligned with the housing
- Screw terminal connection for secure conductor termination during assembly or service
- Thermoplastic construction with IP20 protection for protected interior use
- Available in black or white with no change to the core electrical specification
Variants
This product is offered in two finish options.
The verified difference between variants is color. The electrical format, 15A and 127V rating, straight axial cable entry, screw terminals, thermoplastic housing, and IP20 protection remain the same across both versions.
- VM01096: Black. This finish blends in more easily with dark panels, utility areas, and black cord sets.
- VM01096.B: White. This finish sits more naturally in light interiors, accommodation spaces, and white accessories.
Compatibility and fit
This plug is for 127V systems that use American and Saudi Arabian standard connections. Before fitting it, check the plug pattern, circuit rating, and cable specification of the equipment or lead you are terminating. Because it is IP20, it should be used where the connector stays dry and protected.
Installation and setup
The axial cable exit is useful where side clearance is limited behind portable equipment or where you want the cord to run straight out of the plug without an immediate bend. Screw terminals also make retermination more straightforward during service, but the plug should still be fitted with the correct wire preparation and local electrical practice in mind.
Use on board
This is a good match for portable appliances, detachable leads, and replacement plug ends used inside the boat where 127V service is already part of the system. It also suits refit work where finish color matters but the electrical specification stays the same.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
