Overview
The Attwood Marine LED Utility Lights is a surface-mount LED utility and courtesy light range for 12V DC boat lighting, offered in 4 in, 6 in, and 8 in lengths with white LED configurations matched to each size. It gives boat owners a simple way to add useful light in cabins, cockpit storage areas, under gunwales, lockers, helm areas, and other protected locations where a slim strip-style light is easier to place than a larger fixture.
Each light uses white LEDs with a low current draw of less than 1 amp, which helps keep battery load modest on small accessory circuits. The water-resistant construction and above-waterline mounting style make the range a practical fit for damp marine spaces, while the surface-mount layout keeps installation straightforward on flat panels, liners, bulkheads, and similar boat surfaces.
Key features
- 12V DC operation for common boat accessory lighting circuits.
- White LED output with less than 1 amp draw to help limit electrical load.
- Surface-mount format for installation on panels, bulkheads, lockers, cockpit areas, and cabin spaces.
- Water-resistant construction suited for protected marine locations above the waterline.
- Available in 4 in, 6 in, and 8 in lengths with 6, 12, or 18 white LEDs.
- Pigtail wiring supports a direct connection to an existing switched lighting circuit.
Variants
This range is offered in three length and LED-count configurations, making it easier to match the light to the available mounting space and the amount of coverage needed on board.
The length and number of white LEDs vary by variant. The shared format is a 12V DC surface-mount utility and courtesy light with white LED output for protected marine installation areas.
- 6355W7: 4 in length with 6 white LEDs. This compact version works well where space is limited, such as small lockers, step areas, consoles, and narrow cabin panels.
- 6354W7: 6 in length with 12 white LEDs. This mid-size option adds more lit area while still fitting neatly along many helm, cockpit, and storage surfaces.
- 6353W7: 8 in length with 18 white LEDs. This longer version suits larger compartments, under-gunwale runs, and utility areas where wider light coverage is useful.
Installation and setup
Plan the mounting location above the waterline on a flat surface where the light will not be kicked, crushed, or exposed to standing water. Before drilling, check the back side of the panel for wiring, fuel lines, plumbing, flotation foam, and any hidden structure.
Connect the light to a properly protected 12V DC circuit and route the wiring so it is supported and protected from chafe. For cockpit or locker installations, use marine wiring practices, sealed connections where needed, and a switch location that is easy to reach in normal use.
Use cases on board
These lights are a good match for boaters who need simple visibility rather than a navigation or spotlight function. They are useful for finding gear after dark, lighting a step or passageway, adding task light near a helm or console, or improving visibility inside a storage compartment without adding a large fixture.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
