This sealing ring was developed especially for engines by Volvo Penta. It will maintain the valve cover seal's effectiveness, resulting in more enjoyable running and a longer lifespan for the valves, lifters, and other parts. The two seals on this item can be switched out whenever you need to with "18-2937-9". A sealing ring called packing or a toric joint is a mechanical gasket in the form of a torus. It is a loop of elastomer with a circular cross-section that is a device to be seated in a groove and compressed during assembly between two or more elements, creating a seal at the interface.
