Overview
The Vimar Plana is a bell for 120V AC systems that mounts flush into the panel for audible signaling inside the boat where the installation is sheltered. It runs at 50-60 Hz, sounds at 70 dB, and takes up one modular spacing in the Plana range.
Its IP40 plastic housing suits helm consoles, cabin entry points, crew areas, and other enclosed positions where the unit is kept away from direct spray and routine washdowns. This is a wired bell with no wireless function and no built-in battery, so it belongs in a fixed AC installation rather than a standalone alert setup.
Key features
- 120V AC, 50-60 Hz operation for boats that use that onboard supply
- 70 dB bell output for local call or alert signaling
- Flush mounting in a one-module Vimar Plana format
- IP40 housing for enclosed locations where direct water exposure is not expected
- Available in white or silver with the same core electrical and mounting specifications across the listed variants
Variants
This product is offered in two finish options within the same bell format.
Across the listed variants, the visible finish changes while the core electrical and mounting data stays the same: 120V AC 50-60 Hz operation, 70 dB loudness, IP40 protection, flush mounting, and one-module width.
- VM14372 / Color White. The white version blends into light switch plates, cabin trim, and white interior panels.
- VM14372.SL / Color Silver. The silver version suits panels where a metallic-toned finish matches nearby switchgear and trim.
Compatibility and fit
This bell is for 120V AC circuits only. It is not a 12V or 24V DC signal device, so it should be matched to the boat's AC distribution and to a compatible Plana mounting position.
The one-module format matters when you are replacing an existing Plana insert or laying out a coordinated switch panel where spacing needs to stay consistent.
Installation and use on board
Flush mounting keeps the front face tidy in shared switch panels and passage areas. Because the enclosure is rated IP40, it fits best in cabins, enclosed helm areas, service points, and similar locations that stay protected from weather and washdowns.
It is a good match for refit work or new installations where a simple audible call point is needed on a 120V AC system and the rest of the panel is already built around Vimar Plana modules.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
