Overview
The JL Audio AP amplifier series is a compact line of marine amplifiers for adding speaker or subwoofer power on a 12 V boat audio system. The range covers a monoblock subwoofer amplifier, 4-channel models with and without Bluetooth, and a 6-channel model with staggered power for more involved speaker and subwoofer layouts.
All models use Class D amplification, operate from 9-16 VDC and have an IP67-rated amplifier body, excluding cables. That makes the series a practical fit for consoles, storage lockers, helm compartments and other protected boat locations where spray, salt air, vibration and tight mounting space are part of the installation.
The non-Bluetooth AP300/1, AP300/4 and AP600/6 models include a built-in LCD display for manual control and can work with Fusion Audio app setup features when paired with a compatible Fusion head unit with built-in DSP. The Bluetooth AP200/4BT adds direct smartphone audio streaming, an IP67-rated wired remote and AUX input source selection.

Variants
The JL Audio AP amplifier series is offered in four configurations so the amplifier can match the number of speakers, subwoofers and zones in the boat audio system.
The variants differ by channel count, Bluetooth availability, RMS power layout, chassis size and included control hardware. All four models use Class D amplification, operate from 9-16 VDC and have an IP67 rating for the amplifier body.
- AP300/1: 1 channel, Bluetooth: No. This monoblock version is for subwoofer duty, with 200 watts x 1 at 4 ohms or 300 watts x 1 at 2 ohms.
- AP300/4: 4 channels, Bluetooth: No. This model works for four speaker channels or a bridged 2-channel layout, with 50 watts x 4 at 4 ohms or 150 watts x 2 when bridged at 4 ohms.
- AP600/6: 6 channels, Bluetooth: No. This stepped-power model supports larger speaker layouts and mixed speaker plus subwoofer systems, with channels 5 and 6 carrying more power than channels 1 through 4.
- AP200/4BT: 4 channels, Bluetooth: yes. This version adds direct Bluetooth audio streaming and includes a wired remote for source and control access away from the amplifier location.
Installation and setup
The compact housings help when mounting space is limited behind the helm, inside a console or near an existing stereo system. The AP300/1 and AP300/4 measure 1.85 in x 10.43 in x 4.90 in, the AP600/6 measures 1.85 in x 11.81 in x 5.90 in, and the AP200/4BT measures 1.85 in x 7.28 in x 4.90 in.
Plan power wiring, fuse protection and cable routing before mounting the amplifier. The AP300/1, AP300/4 and AP200/4BT use a 35 A fuse rating, while the AP600/6 uses a 70 A fuse rating. Keep signal cables and power cables routed cleanly to reduce noise and make future service easier.
System integration
The RCA input range is switchable between 200 mV-2 VRMS for low-level input and 800 mV-8 VRMS for high-level input, which gives the installer flexibility when matching the amplifier to a marine stereo or source unit. The AP300/1, AP300/4 and AP600/6 include variable crossover control from 20-500 Hz, depending on the channel layout, and all models include bass boost.
The AP200/4BT is useful for small boats, tenders and simple cockpit audio systems where direct phone streaming is useful and a full stereo head unit may not be needed. For more integrated systems with Fusion DSP setup, the AP300/1, AP300/4 and AP600/6 are the better fit within this range.
Use cases on board
The AP300/1 suits a dedicated marine subwoofer installation. The AP300/4 fits a straightforward cockpit or cabin speaker system, while the AP600/6 works for boats that need more channels or a speaker and subwoofer combination from one amplifier chassis.
Boaters building a clean audio system in limited space, replacing an aging amplifier or adding power to a new set of marine speakers will get the most value from this series when the channel count and power layout are matched carefully to the speakers, impedance and wiring plan.

Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund.
