Overview
The Garmin 010-10454-00 is a handlebar mounting bracket that clamps to a round bar up to 1 inch (25.4 mm) in diameter, keeping a compatible Garmin handheld GPS where you can see it and grab it quickly. It is a simple mechanical mount with no wiring, so it works just as well on a small center console as it does on a tender, kayak, or a boat where you want the handheld off the dash and on a rail.
On board, this style of mount is commonly used on grab rails, pedestal rails, or other 1 inch tubing near the helm. The unit snaps in for use underway and can be removed when docking, trailering, or stowing gear to reduce exposure to theft, spray, and impact.
Key features
- Clamps to round handlebars or rails up to 1 inch (25.4 mm) diameter
- Snap-in style bracket keeps a compatible handheld GPS secured while underway
- Mounting position helps keep the handheld visible without taking up dash space
- Tool-tightened install using the supplied mounting hardware
- Includes mounting hardware and instructions
Installation and setup
Confirm the mounting location is a round bar or rail at or below 1 inch diameter, then position the bracket where the screen will be easy to read and the buttons can be reached with one hand. Use the supplied hardware to secure the clamp, tightening evenly so the bracket sits straight and does not rotate on the bar.
After mounting, clip your handheld into place and check clearance through the full range of steering and throttle movement. If the bracket is exposed to regular spray, placing it where it gets some shelter can help reduce salt buildup around the clamp and release points.
Compatibility and fit
This bracket is meant for Garmin handheld units that use the matching snap-in interface for this style of handlebar mount. Before ordering, confirm your handheld model supports this mount style and that the back of the unit matches the snap-in pattern so it locks in cleanly and releases normally.
Use cases on board
This mount is a good match for boaters who run a handheld GPS as a backup navigator, use a handheld on a tender, or want a removable setup that can move between the boat and shore. It also works well for skiffs and open cockpits where a handheld needs a secure spot without permanently dedicating dash space.
Maintenance and care
Rinse with fresh water after salt exposure and let it dry before stowing the handheld. Periodically check the clamp hardware for tightness, especially after rough runs or trailering, and keep the snap-in surfaces free of sand and grit so the unit seats and releases smoothly.

International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
