Overview
The Jabsco 29200 Series is an electric toilet conversion kit that replaces the manual pump assembly on compatible Jabsco marine toilets, turning a hand-pumped head into a DC-powered toilet without changing the entire bowl. It is used with Jabsco Twist 'n' Lock compact and regular bowl toilets, including 29090-5000, 29120-5000, and 29120-5100 models.
This conversion uses separate electric flushing and waste pumps, with a control knob for Flush & Discharge or Discharge Only operation. It connects to common marine toilet plumbing sizes, including a 19 mm inlet hose and a 38 mm discharge hose, and is offered in 12V and 24V versions to match the boat's electrical system.
Key features
- Replaces the manual pump assembly on compatible Jabsco Twist 'n' Lock marine toilets, so the existing toilet bowl can remain in place.
- Dual-action control supports Flush & Discharge and Discharge Only operation for managing bowl water level and clearing the discharge line.
- Built-in macerator helps process waste before discharge to the holding tank or through-hull system.
- Suitable for above-waterline and below-waterline installations when the toilet plumbing is installed with the required seacocks, hose routing, and vented loop arrangement.
- Uses 19 mm inlet hose and 38 mm discharge hose, matching common Jabsco manual toilet plumbing layouts.
- Available in 12V DC and 24V DC configurations, with fuse and wire sizing selected for the specific voltage and total cable run.
Variants
This series is offered in two voltage configurations so the conversion can be matched to the vessel's DC electrical system.
The voltage changes between variants. The manual-to-electric conversion function, control layout, and fitment for compatible Jabsco manual toilets remain consistent across the listed configurations.
- 29200-0120: Voltage 12 Volt. This version is for 12V DC toilet circuits and uses a 25A fuse, with cable size selected according to the total positive and negative wire run.
- 29200-0240: Voltage 24 Volt. This version is for 24V DC toilet circuits and uses a 15A fuse, with cable size selected according to the total positive and negative wire run.
Installation and fit
The kit is intended for owners who want electric toilet operation without replacing the full marine head. The existing manual pump is removed, while original screws and hose clips are reused during the changeover. Keeping the removed manual pump, bowl link hose, and bottom flap valve gasket on board gives the boat a practical fallback option if electrical power is unavailable.
For below-waterline installations with discharge connected to a through-hull fitting, the discharge hose should run through a vented loop at least 200 mm above the waterline at all angles of heel or trim. The highest point of the discharge hose should not exceed 1.8 m above the toilet base.
Electrical and plumbing notes
The conversion should be wired to a dedicated DC circuit of the correct voltage, separate from other accessories. The red motor lead connects to positive and the black motor lead connects to negative. A correctly sized fuse or breaker should be installed in the positive lead as close to the power source as practical.
The inlet hose should take the shortest practical route from the inlet seacock to the flushing pump inlet, without an anti-siphon loop or vented loop in that inlet run. The pump inlet should not be connected to a pressurized water system. A Pumpgard strainer is used in the inlet hose where it can be inspected and cleaned.
Use on board
This conversion is a good match for cruising boats, fishing boats, and sailboats where an existing compatible Jabsco manual head is still in service but electric flushing is preferred. The Discharge Only setting is useful for lowering the bowl level during use, while Flush & Discharge brings in rinse water and moves waste through the discharge line.
Regular rinsing with clean seawater helps keep the toilet cleaner and reduces odor in the plumbing. As with any marine toilet connected to seacocks, inlet and discharge seacocks should be closed when the toilet is not in use.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team.
