Overview
The Victron Energy 2 Meter Extension Cable is an accessory for Blue Smart IP65 Chargers with a DC connector, adding 2 m of reach between the charger and the battery connection lead.
It is used when the charger needs to sit farther from the battery bank, DC distribution point, or temporary charging position than the standard lead comfortably allows. On a boat, that can help keep the charger in a cleaner, more accessible spot while still reaching batteries in a locker, under a berth, or near an engine room service area.
The range is offered in 20 A and 25 A versions, so the cable can be matched to the charger output and the current requirement of the installation.
Key features
- 2 m extension length for Blue Smart IP65 Charger installations that need extra DC-side reach.
- Made for use with Blue Smart IP65 Chargers that have the Victron DC connector.
- Available in 20 A and 25 A maximum current versions to match the charger setup.
- Plug-style DC connection keeps installation cleaner than adding a loose splice into the charging lead.
- Useful for battery lockers, service compartments, and dockside charging layouts where the charger and battery are not mounted close together.
Variants
This product is offered in two current ratings for installations that use Victron Blue Smart IP65 Chargers with a DC connector.
The main difference between the variants is maximum current. The 2 m extension length and Blue Smart IP65 Charger accessory role remain consistent across the range.
- BPC900200014: Max Current 20 A. This version suits charger setups where the DC extension path does not exceed a 20 A rating.
- BPC900250014: Max Current 25 A. This version supports installations that need the higher 25 A current rating while keeping the same 2 m extension format.
Installation and fit
Use the cable on the DC side of the charger, between the Blue Smart IP65 Charger connector and the battery connection lead. The connector should be fully seated so the charging lead is secure before AC power is applied to the charger.
Route the cable where it will not be pinched by lockers, stepped on in a service area, or pulled tight when gear shifts underway. In marine spaces, it is good practice to keep DC charging cables supported, away from sharp edges, and clear of heat sources and moving engine components.
Use on board
This extension cable is a practical match for boats that use a portable or semi-permanent Victron Blue Smart IP65 Charger and need a little more working distance from the battery bank. It can be helpful for maintenance charging at the dock, seasonal battery care, or service work where the charger is kept outside a tight battery compartment.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
