Overview
The Attwood Marine 1364A1 is a deck-mount cowl vent for standard 3 inch ventilation hose. It can be set up as either an intake or an exhaust, so it works where you need passive airflow through an enclosed space rather than a powered blower.
This vent uses a flexible flange attachment that connects to the hose below deck, then accepts the vent head once the base is mounted. The vent body is die-cast ZAMAK with a chrome finish, and the flange is black plastic. For the installation shown in the instructions, the deck opening is 3-1/2 inches when a nylon wire tie is used as the hose clamp.
Key features
- Fits any standard 3 inch ventilation hose
- Can be used for either intake or exhaust airflow
- Die-cast ZAMAK vent head with chrome finish
- Black plastic flange attaches the hose below deck
- Flexible flange-and-head design allows the vent head to snap onto the mounted base
- Installation uses three #8 countersunk screws and a hose clamp or 15 inch nylon wire tie
Installation and fit
This is a straightforward replacement part when your boat already uses a 3 inch vent hose and a deck cowl in this style. The base is used as the drilling template, the hose slides up through the deck cutout and over the flange, and the vent head attaches after the base is fastened down. It is worth checking the deck opening before ordering, since the stated 3-1/2 inch hole size is tied to the clamp method used during installation.
Use on board
This vent suits refit work on boats that need passive deck ventilation through a hose-fed run below deck. It makes sense for owners replacing an older cowl vent on a sailboat, runabout, or classic fiberglass boat where the existing hose size and mounting style need to stay the same.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
