Overview

The Raymarine T70153 is a complete EV-100 Tiller Pilot autopilot pack for tiller-steered sailboats up to 13,200 lb or 6,000 kg displacement. It combines the EV-1 sensor core, ACU-100 actuator control unit, p70s sailboat control head, tiller drive, and SeaTalkng cabling needed to add hands-free steering to a compatible 12 V DC sailing system.

This system is made for cockpit installations where the external tiller drive mounts to the tiller and can be removed when it is not in use. The EV-1 sensor uses 9-axis heading, pitch, roll, and yaw sensing to help the pilot adapt to changing sea state and vessel movement without complicated calibration.

SeaTalkng and NMEA 2000 networking let the pilot work with compatible Raymarine instruments and chartplotters, while the p70s control head gives sailors push-button access to standby, auto, track, wind vane, and course adjustment functions from the cockpit.

Key features
  • Complete tiller autopilot pack for tiller-steered sailboats up to 13,200 lb or 6,000 kg displacement.
  • Built for 12 V DC systems, with EV-100 operating voltage in the 10.8 V DC to 15.6 V DC range.
  • EV-1 sensor core monitors heading, pitch, roll, and yaw so the pilot can respond to real boat movement underway.
  • ACU-100 actuator control unit drives the tiller pilot and supports a maximum continuous drive current output of 7 A at supply voltage.
  • SeaTalkng and NMEA 2000 networking support integration with compatible sailing instruments and chartplotters.
  • p70s control head has a 3.45 inch TFT LCD display, dedicated 1 degree and 10 degree course-change keys, and push-button operation suited to sailboat use.
  • Cockpit-mounted tiller drive attaches directly to the tiller and can be removed and stored when the boat is under manual helm control.
  • No complicated autopilot calibration is required, which helps keep installation and commissioning manageable for capable DIY owners.
Compatibility and fit

This pilot is for tiller-steered sailboats, not wheel-steered yachts or hydraulic steering systems. The 13,200 lb displacement rating should be checked against the boat as actually loaded for cruising, including fuel, water, batteries, stores, anchors, safety gear, and other onboard weight.

It is a practical match for small cruising sailboats, club racers, and coastal boats where reducing helm workload matters during longer tacks, motoring passages, or steady-course sailing. For boats already using Raymarine SeaTalkng or compatible NMEA 2000 equipment, the network connection can also support tighter integration with instruments and chartplotters.

Installation and setup

The tiller drive mounts externally in the cockpit and connects to the tiller with the supplied tiller pin and mounting socket hardware. The drive can be unplugged and removed when not needed, which keeps the cockpit easier to move through at the dock or under manual steering.

The EV-1 sensor core and ACU-100 are part of the system backbone, with SeaTalkng cabling used for power and data connections between the pilot components. The p70s control head should be mounted where the helm can see and operate it without reaching across the cockpit during sail handling or course changes.

Electrical and network integration

The EV-100 Tiller Pilot is intended for 12 V DC boats. It is not a 24 V autopilot pack, so vessels with 24 V electrical systems need the correct Raymarine configuration and power arrangement before installation.

SeaTalkng gives the system a clean path into a Raymarine network, and NMEA 2000 compatibility helps it share data with suitable marine electronics. In a sailing installation, this can support autopilot control from the p70s head and, when properly integrated, steering functions that use heading, navigation, and wind data from connected equipment.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
