Overview

The Raymarine T70345 is a wireless wind kit for adding wind speed and wind angle data to a Raymarine SeaTalkng instrument network without running a mast cable. It combines a solar-powered T120 wireless masthead transducer, a Micro-Talk wireless gateway for the SeaTalkng backbone, and a T113 wireless remote display for viewing and calibrating instrument data around the boat.

This kit is a practical upgrade for sailing boats already using Raymarine i60, i70, or i70S instruments. The masthead unit sends wind data wirelessly, which keeps installation cleaner and removes the weight and service points of a cable run inside the mast. The T120 has a built-in battery with solar charging and can run for more than 300 hours between charges.

The Micro-Talk gateway is powered from the SeaTalkng network and works on a 12V DC nominal supply, with a 9V to 16V operating range and protection up to 32V. It passes wind and other sailing data between Raymarine Micronet wireless devices and wired SeaTalkng equipment, making the system useful for both cruising boats and performance-focused sailboats.

Key features
  • Wireless masthead wind sensing reduces the need to run a cable through the mast, which helps simplify refits and rig work.
  • T120 solar-powered wind transducer measures apparent wind speed and direction for compatible Raymarine instrument systems.
  • Micro-Talk gateway connects wireless Micronet data with a wired SeaTalkng network, including compatible instruments, MFDs, and autopilots.
  • Works with Raymarine i60, i70, and i70S instrument networks when the boat already has the proper SeaTalkng backbone in place.
  • T113 wireless remote display can show, repeat, configure, and calibrate instrument data from different positions on board.
  • Remote display supports wind trends, speed trends, VMG, SOG, COG, performance graphing, and race timer functions.
  • Micro-Talk gateway has a compact surface-mount form and an IPX6 and IPX7 ingress rating for exposed marine locations.
  • Low gateway draw of 25 mA at nominal voltage keeps the added network load modest on typical 12V sailing systems.
Installation and system integration

The masthead transducer is suited to installations where avoiding a mast cable is the main benefit, such as retrofits, mast service work, and boats where a cleaner rigging run is preferred. The wireless approach also removes a common failure point at mast steps and deck glands, provided the installation location has a clear path for the wireless signal.

The Micro-Talk gateway plugs into the SeaTalkng network and handles the bridge between wireless and wired Raymarine equipment. It can share data such as wind angle, wind speed, depth, boat speed, temperature, heading, GPS data, time, date, and navigation information when those data sources are present on the system.

Use cases on board

This kit fits sailboats that need reliable wind information at the helm, nav station, or crew positions without replacing the entire instrument network. It is a good match for coastal cruising, club racing, and performance sailing setups where wind data feeds both displays and connected Raymarine systems.

The handheld remote is especially useful during calibration, pre-start checks, and sail trim work because the data can move with the crew instead of staying fixed at one instrument head.
