Overview
The Vimar VM30502 is a LINEA-series EnOcean radio control with four push buttons that transmits on 868 MHz and powers itself through energy harvesting. Each press generates the energy needed to send the command, so there is no battery to service and no external power feed required at the control.
This is a wall control for an EnOcean system, not a load-switching device. It sends wireless commands to compatible EnOcean receivers, actuators, or gateways that do the actual switching or automation elsewhere in the boat.
It fits a flush-mounted LINEA position and takes up 2 modular spacings. The housing is rated IP40, which makes it a good match for protected interior locations such as the cabin, nav station, or inside a covered helm console.
Key features
- EnOcean 868 MHz wireless transmitter for control of compatible EnOcean equipment
- Energy-harvesting operation with a built-in electro-dynamic generator, so there is no battery to replace
- Four push buttons with four outputs for assigning multiple commands or scenes
- Flush-mounted format for Vimar LINEA installations, 2 modular spacings wide
- IP40 protection level for dry, protected areas on board
- Wireless control with no wired bus connection at the keypad
- One-way radio transmission, so it does not provide status feedback at the control
Compatibility and fit
This control is meant to be completed with dedicated buttons 31506 or 31506.2. It is intended for EnOcean systems that use the 868 MHz band, so confirm your receiver, actuator, or gateway is EnOcean-compatible on 868 MHz before ordering, especially if the vessel operates outside regions where 868 MHz is commonly used.
Plan placement with the onboard environment in mind. IP40 is appropriate for interior panels and protected bulkheads, but it is not a good choice for exposed cockpit surfaces, washdown zones, or any location that sees spray.
Installation and setup
Mount the unit in a flush position that matches the LINEA 2-module format, then complete it with the correct dedicated buttons. System commissioning is handled at the receiving device, so pairing and function assignment depends on the EnOcean receiver or gateway you are using.
For the best radio performance on a boat, avoid burying the control behind large metal structures and test operation from the final mounting spot before closing up the panel.
On-board use
This is a practical fit for refits where you want wall-style control without pulling new wiring runs. It works well for cabin lighting control, courtesy light scenes, or triggering automation through an EnOcean gateway, as long as the actual switching hardware is installed elsewhere in the system.
It is a good match for owners building an EnOcean-based smart control setup inside the vessel, and for installers who want a clean, flush wall control that does not add battery maintenance to the checklist.
Maintenance and care
Since the control is self-powered, there are no batteries to monitor or replace. Keep it clean with a dry or lightly damp cloth and avoid letting moisture migrate into the mounting area through open console edges or washdowns.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
