Overview
The Vimar VM30008 is a Linea series 1-pole, normally-open push button mechanism rated 10 A at 250 V~ for flush-mounted switch panels.
Pressing the button closes the circuit only while held, which suits momentary functions on board such as relay triggers, door releases, and other press-and-hold controls. It fits a 1-module position and must be completed with a separate Linea 1-module button.
The body is halogen-free thermoplastic with a matt black finish (RAL similar 7024) and an IP40 rating for protected locations. Overall size is 22.30 mm wide, 52.80 mm high, and 28.90 mm deep.
Key features
- 1-pole, normally-open push button contact for momentary control
- 10 A, 250 V~ rating for switching or control circuits
- Flush-mounted modular device for Vimar Linea systems, to be completed with a 1-module button
- Screw terminals for straightforward wiring inside a panel or wall box
- Engage (snap) fastening for quick fit into the compatible support frame
- IP40 rating for protected installations; not a sealed device for spray or washdowns
- Halogen-free thermoplastic body with a matt black finish (RAL similar 7024)
- Lightable with a compatible Linea LED unit when night visibility is needed
Compatibility and fit
This mechanism is sized for a 1-module position in the Linea series, so it is intended to be installed with the matching Linea mounting frame and cover plate for your layout. The visible button is a separate part, so match the button style and color to the rest of your Linea modules.
With IP40 protection, mount it in dry interior areas or behind a protected helm or cabin panel. For exposed cockpit mounting, use an enclosure or a switch with a higher ingress rating.
Installation and wiring
The unit fastens into the support frame with a snap-in engage system and wires via screw terminals. Keep conductors properly strain-relieved, and use ferrules on fine-strand marine cable so the terminal clamps evenly.
Because the contact is normally open and momentary, it is often used to control a relay, contactor coil, or a low-current control input rather than feeding a heavy load directly. Confirm load type, inrush, and circuit protection before commissioning.
Use on board
This push button is a good match for refits that want a consistent Linea look while adding momentary controls at the nav station, in the cabin, or on an interior switch panel. It also works well for inputs that need a brief trigger rather than an on-off latch.
If you add the illumination accessory, it can make the control easier to find at night without leaving other lights on.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
