Overview

The Vimar VM21126 is a 3-module EIKON electronic control unit with 6 independent push buttons, 8 non-polarised inputs, and 7 solid-state outputs for non-polarised contacts. It runs on 9-32 VDC, which suits typical 12 V and 24 V DC systems, and it uses configurable RGB LED backlighting so the button area stays readable in changing light.

This insert is meant to be completed with an Eikon Tactil cover plate and labels. On board, it works well when you want a clean, labeled control point at the helm, in the cabin, or at a service panel, while the actual switching and load handling happens elsewhere in the system.

Overall size is 8.5 x 3.9 x 8.6 cm and weight is about 104 g, which helps when planning space and wire routing behind the mounting position.

Key features
  • 9-32 VDC supply range with low power draw (max absorbed power 0.7 W)
  • 6 independent push buttons with configurable RGB LED backlighting
  • 8 non-polarised inputs that can be activated with positive or negative signals, including voltage-free contacts
  • 7 solid-state outputs rated up to 40 V and 100 mA per output for signalling and control (use relays or other interfaces for higher-current loads)
  • Input and output conductors can be extended up to 50 m with a minimum conductor section of 0.33 mm2
  • 3-module EIKON format, completed with Eikon Tactil cover plate and labels
  • Thermoplastic insert with a matt grey finish (RAL 7024) and a non-transparent face
Compatibility and fit

This is an EIKON-series 3-module electronic insert, so it belongs in an EIKON modular mounting position where you are already using Eikon Tactil plates. If you are matching existing interiors, the finish is matt grey (RAL 7024).

For marine installations, plan the mounting location like you would any interior control station: behind a cover plate, supported by a solid mounting surface, and away from direct spray or washdowns unless the overall installation provides the needed protection.

Installation and wiring

Mount the insert in the correct 3-module position and leave room behind the plate for connectors and bend radius. Secure the wiring so vibration does not load the terminals, and keep harnesses supported as they pass through bulkheads or behind consoles.

Provide a clean 9-32 VDC feed from your DC distribution and protect the circuit with an appropriately sized fuse or breaker for the wiring and the connected control design. If the keypad is far from the controlled equipment, the ability to extend I/O conductors helps keep the user interface where you need it without relocating the rest of the system.

Electrical and system integration

The inputs operate over 5-32 VDC with very low activation current, and the non-polarised design makes it easier to interface with different types of contacts and signal styles. Each solid-state output is intended for control-level switching up to 100 mA, so plan on using external relays, contactors, or compatible control inputs when you need to operate higher-current onboard loads.

RGB backlighting is configurable, and input 7 supports a PWM signal (400 kHz) for LED colour control when you are integrating with an external controller.

Use cases on board

This unit fits boats where you want a labeled, multi-function 6-button station in an EIKON mounting position, such as managing cabin lighting groups, triggering auxiliary control relays, or providing a compact interface at a service area. It is also a good match for refits where EIKON plates are already installed and you want to keep a consistent look while adding more control points.

Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
