Overview
The Vimar VM14963 is an IP55-rated enclosure with an inserted socket, made to mount on a 3-module flush mounting box while accepting 2 Eikon, Arké, or Plana modules.
On a boat, it is a clean way to keep a modular outlet or control point protected in spots that see spray, damp air, and routine rinse-downs, without changing the existing flush box in the bulkhead.
The body is plastic and fully insulating, which helps in marine spaces where corrosion and stray moisture are everyday realities.
Key features
- IP55-rated protection for areas exposed to spray, rain, and washdowns
- Accepts 2 Vimar Eikon, Arké, or Plana modules in one protected enclosure
- Mounting footprint for a 3-module flush mounting box, helpful for refits where the box is already installed
- Plastic construction with full insulating materials for electrically isolated mounting
Compatibility and fit
This enclosure is intended for Vimar modular devices in the Eikon, Arké, and Plana families, in a 2-module format. Confirm your planned modules are from one of those ranges and that your installation uses a 3-module flush mounting box, since the cover is built around that box size and fixing pattern.
If you are replacing an existing cover, check the module family and the box type before ordering, as different systems can look similar but do not share the same mounting geometry.
Installation and setup
Set up cable routing so water cannot track along the wiring into the box, and keep a simple drip loop where possible. For exterior bulkheads, the seal depends on clean mating surfaces and correct seating, so avoid paint buildup, burrs, or debris around the mounting area.
This is part of the vessel electrical system, so installation should be carried out by a qualified person and checked against the practices and standards you follow on board.
Use on board
This style of enclosure is commonly used for accessory connection points or controls in cockpits, flybridges, aft decks, and other locations where you want a standard modular device but the environment is wet and exposed.
It also suits upgrades where the cutout and 3-module flush box are already in place and you want to add IP55 protection around the modules.
Maintenance and care
Rinse off salt residue as needed and periodically check that the cover closes properly and the sealing surfaces stay clean. Replace the enclosure if the sealing areas are damaged or the cover no longer seats evenly.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
