Overview
The Lumitec 101606 is a flush-mount LED dome light that runs on 10-30 VDC and lets you switch between white and blue output by rotating the bezel.
It is sealed to an IP67 level, so it can be used in cabins or in exposed areas that see spray and routine washdowns. Power draw is about 290 mA at 12 VDC and about 160 mA at 24 VDC, which helps when you are planning circuit protection and how many lights to put on one run.
For layout and clearance, the face is about 4 inches in diameter and the light sits about 0.7 inches proud of the mounting surface.
Key features
- Select white or blue output by rotating the bezel; rotate and hold to dim the active color.
- 10-30 VDC input for common 12V and 24V onboard power.
- Approximate current draw: 290 mA at 12 VDC and 160 mA at 24 VDC.
- IP67 sealed construction for wet marine environments and washdowns.
- Flush-mount profile with about a 4 inch diameter face and about a 0.7 inch height.
- Simple 2-wire hookup for straightforward installs and retrofits.
On-board operation
Rotate the bezel about 30 degrees counterclockwise to bring up white light. Rotate a bit farther and hold to dim, then release when the level looks right. Rotate clockwise to access the blue output and dim it the same way.
Installation and setup
Connect the two supply wires to a fused DC circuit and plan fuse sizing based on the total number of lights on that run. In multi-light circuits, add up the current draw for each fixture so the protection matches the load.
Mount it where you can comfortably reach the bezel, since color selection and dimming happen at the light. After mounting, support the wiring behind the panel so vibration does not work the connections loose over time.
Compatibility and fit
This style of dome light works well for headliners, hardtops, berth overheads, consoles, lockers, and other overhead or under-surface locations where you want broad light without a bulky housing. The blue mode is useful when you want enough light to move around without the harsh glare that can ruin night vision.
Before cutting or committing to a location, confirm you have room for the 4 inch face and the roughly 0.7 inch profile, plus clearance behind the mounting surface for the wire connections.
Maintenance and care
Rinse salt residue when you can and wipe the lens with mild soap and water. Avoid abrasive pads or strong solvents that can haze the window and make the light look uneven.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.
Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.
Delivery and tracking
Deliveries are handled by trusted carriers such as USPS, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Estimated arrival times appear at checkout and depend on your location and the service you choose. These are estimates and can be affected by customs or carrier disruptions. A shipping confirmation with a tracking link is emailed when your order ships, and tracking may take up to 24 hours to update. You can also view tracking in your account.
Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
