Overview

The Vimar VM14617 is a 7-module mounting frame with screws for 6/7-module flush-mounted boxes in the Plana wiring device range. It holds the modular inserts in place behind the cover plate so switches, sockets, and other Plana modules stay aligned and easy to access during service.

It fastens with screws from the front and can be installed in a horizontal or vertical orientation, which helps when the box layout or panel space dictates the direction. The frame is thermoplastic and CE marked.

Compatibility and fit

This frame is intended for rectangular 6/7-module flush-mounted boxes and is not for 60 mm round junction boxes. It is also not meant for DIN-rail mounting, wall duct systems, or floor box installations.

It is the mounting frame only, so the mounting box, modular inserts, and cover plate are selected separately to match your layout and the location on board.

Installation and setup

After isolating power, secure the frame to the box using the front screws, then fit the modular inserts and confirm the module faces sit flush before installing the cover plate. Tighten evenly so the frame stays square and the plate sits flat.

On a boat, take a moment to support the wiring behind the box so vibration does not load the terminals. In areas that see spray or washdowns, pair the installation with an appropriate box and cover plate solution for the location.
