Overview
The Vimar VM10001 is a 1-pole, 1-way modular rocker switch rated 16AX at 250 V AC for controlling a single circuit on board. It is commonly used for fixed AC loads like cabin lighting or other panel-switched equipment where you want a familiar wall-switch feel rather than a breaker toggle. For self-ballasted lamps, the maximum load is 200 W and it is tested to IEC 60669-1:2017.
It is compact for tight bulkheads and consoles, with a face size of 22 mm wide by 36 mm high, an overall depth of 35.5 mm, and a built-in depth of 23.5 mm behind the mounting plane. The matt beige finish (RAL 9001) suits classic interiors and refits that are keeping an existing color scheme.
This switch is meant for protected locations. In wet lockers, cockpits, or anywhere that sees washdowns, mount it inside a suitable enclosure or behind a cover so moisture and salt spray do not reach the mechanism.

Installation and wiring notes
As a 1-way, 1-pole switch, it is typically wired to interrupt the live conductor of one AC branch circuit. Verify conductor size, overcurrent protection, and terminations for the load you are switching, and keep within the stated ratings, especially on circuits with electronic drivers that can have higher inrush at switch-on.
Disconnect shore power and inverters before working on AC wiring, and follow the electrical standards that apply to your vessel and region.
Compatibility and fit
This is a modular device intended to install into a compatible Linea Classica mounting support and cover plate system. Confirm the opening in the plate and the clearance behind the mounting surface; the built-in depth of 23.5 mm is the minimum cavity required behind the mounting plane, and you will also need space for wiring bends.
Use on board
It is a good match for boats that use Vimar modular switching in the cabin, nav station, or helm console and want consistent look and feel across refit areas. Typical uses include switching a lighting circuit, a ventilation fan, or another single AC load from a convenient location.
Maintenance and care
Wipe the front with a soft cloth and a mild soap solution. Avoid solvent cleaners that can haze a matt finish, and address any signs of moisture intrusion at the panel before it reaches the switch.
Shipping
We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.
Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.
Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.
To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.
