Overview

The Vimar VM09967.1 is a 2P+T 16 A socket outlet for 250 V~ AC circuits, made for Italian standard P40 installations in switchboards.

It clips onto a 60715 TH35 (35 mm) DIN rail and takes up 3 modules (17.5 mm each). The body is grey RAL 7035 and built from halogen-free thermoplastic with an untreated matt finish.

This outlet is IP20 and has increased contact protection, so it belongs inside a dry, protected enclosure rather than anywhere that sees spray or washdowns.

Key features
  • 16 A, 250 V~ rating for AC distribution panels
  • Italian standard P40, universal SICURY 2P+T socket format
  • DIN rail mounting on 60715 TH35; occupies 3 x 17.5 mm modules
  • Screw-terminal wiring connection
  • Increased contact protection with IP20 rating for enclosed installations
  • Halogen-free thermoplastic body with untreated matt finish (grey RAL 7035)
  • 50 to 60 Hz frequency range
Installation and panel integration

Mount the outlet on a 35 mm DIN rail and allow for the stated 56 mm depth behind the front of the panel. Terminate conductors in the screw terminals and keep the earth connection continuous back to the boat’s AC grounding system.

On board, this type of outlet is typically fed from a protected branch circuit inside the AC distribution panel or a dedicated enclosure. Use appropriate upstream protection and keep all live parts inaccessible once the door or cover is closed.

Compatibility and fit

The face is an Italian P40 socket pattern. Confirm your onboard plugs match this format before ordering, especially on yachts that mix Italian and other European shore-power accessories.

The 16 A, 250 V~ rating suits typical 230 V AC systems and works across 50 to 60 Hz supplies from shore power or an inverter. It is not a DC outlet.

Use on board

This is a practical add-on inside a nav station cabinet, electrical locker, or engine room switchboard when you want a standard receptacle available for chargers, test gear, or a small service tool while the panel remains closed and protected.

It is a good match for Italian-built boats and refits that standardize on P40 outlets in modular panels.

Maintenance and care

Periodically check terminal tightness, look for heat discoloration around the terminals, and keep salt residue out of the enclosure. If the panel is in a damp space, maintaining good ventilation and door seals helps reduce corrosion on connected plugs.

We ship worldwide from the United States. Rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight. Some items include free shipping, which will show automatically. Not every product is eligible for international shipping; checkout will confirm eligibility. We do not ship to PO Boxes except through USPS, and not all packages qualify.

Processing and dispatch
Most orders are verified, packed, and handed to the carrier within 1 to 2 business days. Some products may need extra handling time or ship directly from the manufacturer. For certain international orders, inventory transfers between warehouses may add time. If any delay is expected, we will let you know the dispatch date.

Duties, taxes, and support
International customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and fees charged by the destination country. If these charges are refused and a shipment returns to us, the carrier’s return cost and any re-entry customs fees will be deducted from the refund. If your order is late or you need help, contact cs@qualityboatparts.com and we will assist you.

Quality Boat Parts is a reseller. Many items include a manufacturer’s warranty, and all warranty service is handled directly by the manufacturer. We do not manage or administer warranty claims on behalf of customers.

Warranty terms, coverage, and duration are set by each manufacturer. Issues involving defects, repairs, or replacements must be addressed with the manufacturer’s support team. When available, the warranty period is listed on the product page. If it is not shown, contact us or the manufacturer for details before purchasing.

To start a claim, the customer must contact the manufacturer and follow their process. Keep your proof of purchase and original packaging, and register the product if the manufacturer requires it, as these are often needed for warranty service.

We are happy to help you find the right contact or documentation, but we cannot decide outcomes or intervene in claim resolutions. For guidance, email cs@qualityboatparts.com.
